Has anyone confirmed that capturing all the forts means no more community events such as white whales? I have 1 more fort to go but I don't want risk it.

Have you been getting events the last 7 days or so? They've been reported as just broke period and not directly linked forts. I've been getting white whale notifications but when I look at my map there are no icons. Royal convoys icons show on my map but when I go to the locations and scout around they are no where to be seen.

I do have all forts clear.

I finally just said **** it, I'm not getting white whales showing up anyway and I wanted the guns, so I cleared the last two forts. After that, I completed the naval missions, then right after that last mission I saw and took down a Royal Convoy. Could have been coincidence, maybe it was already there before and I just got around to it, but it's something.

Having parts of the single player game dependent on friends and such is just a stupid game decision. Even putting about 2 dozen new friends on my list specifically for this, I am getting nothing. But that's not really a solution, it's just an annoying bandaid for a bad mechanic. Adding random friends nets you random ponces that just spam your inbox with some stupid multiplayer recruitment crap. They both got axed from my list pretty quick, I just wish I could have told them what I thought about them without risking a TOS violation.

Oh, another annoyance, took down the third legendary and after it went down the crate never showed. There was a map indicator but the crate was nowhere to be seen. Not that I needed the 20k Reals at that point (seriously, what's the point of giving Reals at end game?), but it's still annoying nonetheless.

It matters but it's not even a PSN thing. It's a Uplay thing and Ubisoft didn't link social events between versions.

I tested it with a PS4 friend when it launched and social events were still working.

Logged on tonight to run a little wolfpack (starting that grind to level 55) and got a message saying "congrats you've bet the community challenge, explorer outfit has been unlocked"

Thus challenge is from like a month ago. I completed it but never got the unlock. It randomly unlocked today. Maybe that's a sign they're making progress with the Uplay social probs.

not that I needed the 20k Reals at that point (seriously, what's the point of giving Reals at end game?), but it's still annoying nonetheless.

Seriously stupid. They'd have been better off just giving us a cosmetic piece of the legendary ship or having that be where we have to get elite upgrade plans from. What do i need Reales for at end game when I've got almost 750k already?

Finally beat all the Legendary Ships last night,

Those 2 in the Northeast were by far the hardest. Kept using the same tactics of ramming and chain shooting one of them continuously, while staying behind them all the time, until it was down to almost nothing, then going after the other until he was sunk using the same tactics. Once the last one came with his fire barrel "Rambo" ram, i would finish him off with barrels and mortar. Worked after a few tries, but not easy at all.

How do you "share" events or whatever with friends? Is it a uPlay thing?

It's supposed to be automatic, and it seems it's via your console friends list (probably uplay friends list for PC). I've seen people say you have to use the "press up to look at [event]" prompt to get it to share, but seeing as the chests won't ever have that command I can't see that being the case.

I see the fleets all the time, never seen a whale and I've seen one chest. When I say I see the fleets all the time, literally every time I look at the map I see at least one fleet. Maybe I need to clear that, perhaps it's a glitch.

the fleets are glitched, but I did find one earlier in the week and it said it was shared, I also had one stay on the map, but there wasn't any time and it wouldn't go away even though there was nothing there
