Re: Assassins Creed IV: Black Flag
I'm curious as to what the next AC will be. I really want a Civil War and WWI or II game. I could see them doing a Civil War game similar to AC3 where you're neutral and it's actually your character that assassinates Lincoln but sets up Wilkes Booth.Comment

I still think Egypt/Northern Africa during WWII would be pretty good.

Re: Assassins Creed IV: Black Flag
I've seen IIRC 2 ships with 100 metal, usually it's a lower number like 80 or 90. That's still like 60 ships to get the rest of the way up to max strength, that's a lot of ships just to find, never mind boarding them without getting jumped by half a dozen ships that just happen along.
Maybe I can get a high wanted level and just park by a fort, maybe take a level 2 fort beforehand, and let the pirate hunters come and get cut down by the fort. Might have to try that tonight.Comment

Re: Assassins Creed IV: Black Flag
I think I just need to go up against some bigger ships, I was easily dropping big groups (seems like all of a sudden doing much better without doing any upgrades, I wonder if the game makes ship battles easier as you progress through the story?). I saw a big cluster of ships and figured it was a little skirmish, it was 2 frigates, a brig, and like 4 little ships (gunboats/sloops) and was able to come out with just one piece of my hull gone. It really wasn't that long ago that one frigate would cut me down quick.
Oh, and is it just me or are the forts kinda easy? I haven't tangled with the hard forts, but between the two medium forts I think I was hit with the edge of maybe 3 cannon barrages. Just keep moving and shooting. I even pretty much use cannons, mortars are a little hard to line up and watch where you are going/attacks.Last edited by Burns11; 12-04-2013, 07:58 PM.Comment

Re: Assassins Creed IV: Black Flag
Not all ships are the same. A level 35 frigate will tear you apart a lot faster then a level 16. Maybe you found a big group of lower leveled ships.
Keep an eye level when sending ships to add to your fleet too. Higher level has more cannons, speed and cargo hold.Oakland Athletics San Jose Sharks

Re: Assassins Creed IV: Black Flag
I just send everything then sort them after, I still have one slot left unlocked (but it will be soon at the rate I'm going).
I've just been upgrading more than I realized. Last mission I did was where you have to rescue a friend in the fog (trying to be vague) andSpoilerThat place was filthy with Frigates and I went through them all no problem, then using the Queen Anne's Revenge against the Man O War I realized just how strong the Jackdaw had become.
My next thing I need to capture some Man O Wars for the fleet, all the new missions need too much cargo (you should be able to send out multiple ships for a mission, but I guess that's how they force you not to blow through the missions).Comment

Re: Assassins Creed IV: Black Flag
I have to say... this is my least favorite AC game. Kenway is a pretty boring main character and it just doesn't have that epic feel that the others had. Brotherhood is definitely my favorite and AC1 second. Just had too much repetition. AC3 didn't really do it for me either...Comment
