Havent gotten to play his missions yet but I hope to soon. I have one more fort to take down, otherwise i've just been messing around, and biding time til I try to take out the Legendary's

If they dropped the animus DNA stuff and dropped the "people from before" thing I'd be way more into this franchise. Its all to convoluted for me.

Oh and I bough this game for my little brother for Christmas and played it with him. I can't lie it was fun. Definitely a change of pace. But the real world story and people of yesterday stuff was once again way to convoluted for me. I am curious in what they do with the next one. Can they get away with going back to the old formula of AC games? They will need a new gimmick. The ships stuff was too good to go back to the regular.

You aren't the only one, it was much better when Patrice was at the helm, but it's still the thread that holds these games together.

I didn't like Revelations' current day stuff, the stupid first person platforming mini-puzzle like abominations were just awful, and the entire thing was just an absolute mess.

The best was 2 and Brotherhood, with the hidden puzzles in current time and the short-ish sequences with it all dreadfully short on information but really high on intrigue. Once it was decided to explain everything, it got convoluted and a lot goofier.

What the current day stuff does is keep things connected in a way that just playing these disparate stories in random times with these general assassin vs templar plots couldn't sustain for me.

Honestly, if not for the current day plotline connections, ACIII and Black Flag would have been better as just a native during the revolutionary war and a pirate game respectively.

The current day stuff is just fluff to connect exclusive stories. From the begging it was just a plot device to have us go back in time and explore things. But its obvious now that they are writing it as they go along. I held out hope that there was some significant over arching story to be told between the AC games but I don't see it happening. Its just one giant convoluted mess to me.

The people of the past nonsense is just that, nonsense. Imo at least. Maybe they have some mind melting plan yet to be realized but Im not holding my breath. I take these characters as exclusive stories. If I try to connect them, I end up with a headache.

Yeah they are kinda disconnected

Anyway I've given up on trying to take out legendaries. They gimp your ship like take away the speed up or some other crap handicap you to make it harder. It's just stupid.

Also has u play been down for you guys over the last week?

I finally took out the legendary in the SE corner, the one that everyone said was the easiest.

Needless to say, I'm not looking forward to the other 3.

I absolutely cannot do the Naval Contract A Spanish Plague. I can't find Spanish gunboats anywhere.

The present day story is starting to get interesting to me. I just finished sequence 6. I saw the emails about potential location and found those really cool. I'd like Egypt.

I absolutely cannot do the Naval Contract A Spanish Plague. I can't find Spanish gunboats anywhere.

They are in a certain area. Check a google search. I remember accepting the quest then turning off ps4 and when I turned it back on they were the only ships in the area. Other than that I heard you need to travel to a specific spot. I believe I may have posted the location a few pages back.

Yeah I got it. It just took longer because they weren't where they were supposed to be. A video on YouTube had them all around the fort, but when I did it, there were nothing but British flags.

Is it necessary to do the Optional Objectives during Missions? Does it effect me if I don't?
