My guys powerful relative to level 30 and those below it but apparently 100 hours in a game is pretty pathetic compared to these people who put 500 hours into a game and are so powerful its ridiculous (yes I'm still a bit angry about being killed like a small child last night about a dozen times in the dark zone!!) Or who knows, maybe they are using some exploit to get to be level 70 or whatnot.

All I know is last night was the first time I was quite disheartened with this game. I really love this game but if I put 100 hours into my character and he's got pretty decent equipment I cannot understand how I'm killed as if I am a total newbie. And it's not just me, some guys here from OS I ran with got killed as well quite a bit (although at least they were able to kill some other guys, something which I still cannot do) and they were in the level 50's area.

I don't know, I just know I'm a bit discouraged because I thought I finally found a game that, unlike Call of Duty, I can compete in a bit and have a guy who is worthwhile and it seems as if either my character who I have so much time into is complete rubbish or I am just terrible at the game or both.

Hoping this patch changes things up a bit and puts people of like levels, talents and skills together and things turn around or I may just be done with the DZ. Not much fun to just be killed like I'm a fly all evening with nothing to show for it!

Yeah if anything I think being killed by a rogue shouldn't cost you any XP. I think I said that in my post last night but if not, I meant to. Taking someone's loot is a cool game mechanic and I support it being in the game, hurting other players progression is overkill

Yeah I agree, I had been killed a bunch before but it was because I was solo, or so I thought. Last night when I met up with a bunch of OS and other friends and we had two groups of 4 I thought maybe I'd finally be able to do something and those hopes were crushed LOL.

It was not just disheartening because I died but was was more disheartening was our entire group died a good bit, as if we were nothing. I mean WTF

I feel you on this, and I agree.

I think the rogue/non-rouge aspect needs balancing and fairness checks

Speaking of which, I remember one time I went to a friends house named John and his son was playing Call of Duty. He just kept walking up to a guy and shooting him in the head. Then the guy would respawn and run back to the spot. Johns son would shoot him in the head again. I watched him for like a few minutes and finally asked...Uh what the heck is going on here?

He said, oh I'm leveling up. So I asked "why is that guy just walking in and not doing anything?" and he said that was his friend and it was his turn to level up so his friend was letting him kill him. I said, how long are you doing this, he said "Oh I dunno, most of the day probably.."

So yeah, that's the first time I realized, wow, people are so into winning and getting powerful in a game they will sit there and do something like that, which is sorta cheating collaboratively, for hours just to level up.

I'm not that committed to spend an entire day shooting my buddy in the head to level up and letting him do the same. And how is that not filtered out and/or stopped by the game devs? Are they aware people do this??

These bonus you get are pretty amazing, compared to some of the talents we have already. I guess most people are going to go for the Striker/Sentry set. I'm really liking the Tactician/Nomad set. Especially when your in the DZ. Wish some of the bonus got a little boost because striker set looks the best so far compared to the others.

Just to be clear, it's not so much about just me dying and being killed so easily, but jeesh, guys I know that are super high level with awesome weapons and they get killed very easily.

I hate to be a guy to yell "they cheated! "but either people are really cheating and abusing something or they play this game non-stop (which of course is always possible in a country where about half of the able bodied adults do not work)

If you are playing on PC, hacking is a possibility. On console, its probably a combination of defensive super, pulse, god roll SMG, glitching ammo and medkits, and the health skill. ie the standard DZ build. With the right rolls on weapons and armor with that build anyone with a modicum of skill can do quite well in the DZ especially in a 1v1 match-up. Add another person in that group running the damage super and its a wrap.

I am kind of surprised sticky bomb isn't more popular in DZ. My sticky is capped and I can one shot poorly geared rogues and do substantial damage to a group of solid rogues unless their shield super is up. Pulse/sticky/defense super has worked well for me in DZ

I only use the shield super in DZ. If a rogue attacks I pop it and it gives me a moment to either evaluate the situation and decide to run, or mount a counter attack, depending on various factors. If my whole crew is with me I'm coming right at the rogues 100 percent of the time, if it's 3 of us or less I need to be a little more careful and swallow my pride retreating in hopes we can gain an upper hand somewhere else

I got 80k health and was killed in a mere second in DZ1 by 1 agent. I didn't even have time to press a skill. (home boy was following me for 5 minutes until a came to a complete stop and like a true coward he went behind me and opened fire. I hope those 2 green and 1 blue item helped him).

These no lifers sit at home and play 8 hrs a day and think they are nice. Put them all together in 1 lobby and let them duke it out between themselves instead of preying on people who can't afford to waste their life playing so much.

Easy answer is most people are built towards DPS/Health. If I were running a skill build I would use the sticky TBH. I've seem the damage it can deal.

Agreed but also you don't see women play in the nba. I wouldn't have a single problem if DZ grouped players of similar equipment/gear together instead of this huge disparity with people geared up with all blue items having to play against all HE item players.
