i wish I had gotten in on the Beta. I have never been big into MMO's but the urge to do so is growing and this looks right up my alley. Plus if I could play with some of you guys while I get my footing so much the better.

Great post Ceasar. I have to agree with you. Playing this game solo I was somewhat lukewarm on the game. After getting a chance to play the game in the missions and the DZ with a friend the game really stood out. It's like signing your death warrant imo to go out in the DZ without a friend though. Very dangerous and there are straight punks around every corner. I came across some randoms who had a rogue at gunpoint on the street ( I guess he had been killing these guys constantly during the day). These four to five guys had their guns pointed at him and the rogue had his hands in the air. They all shot him anyway and continued to shoot him while he was dead on the ground. They then put their guns on me as if to say "you got a problem man?"and I gave them a salute and they left me alone and ran off to where ever. I had a good laugh. I do see the problems people have with the rogue ID model as that can become very frustrating when you accidently shoot someone in the midst of a firefight.

EA and 2k have the unfortunate task of trying to balance on a tightrope of fun and sim while trying not to fall 10,000 feet to their death. Instead of a safety net waiting down below there will just be angry customers quick to move out of the way and talk of their failure.

I'm the opposite and prefer playing the game solo. Third person cover based shooter with a heavy emphasis on all the RPG elements is perfect for me. I played through the story mission and all the side missions and encounters twice over the weekend and left me wanting more. Dark Zone was okay for what it is. I don't think that it's anything special and I won't be missing it at all. Simply looking forward to playing the entire game solo and then see what they do with the expansions and DLC. Hope the early content gets announced when the game gets released because I hate it when it takes companies months to announce what is coming out and when. That turns me off to the game so im hoping they announce something coming out in April so I know whether or not the game will be played short term or long term.

Don't know about anyone else but what im wishing they had a crouch button in the game and take away the shadow effect on all the text and numbers because it's very annoying. Other than that, I enjoyed the Beta a lot and wish the retail release wasn't five weeks away. Oh well.

I definitely think I will be spending a lot of time in the DZ as long as the fellas are with me.

Yea I agree as well, very well said LHM.

I like the realistic setting way more than the Sci Fi destiny setting. Only my opinion of course, but this game ****s on destiny. Love this game with a passion man, can't wait for it to drop.

Did you know you could play the missions with friends also Daniel? I did that mission where you rescue that Dr. to open up the medical wing with a friend and it was a lot of fun. Playing thru missions with a friend gave me flashbacks of GRAW and GEARS

Now that I've got that out of the way. The game rocks. People who say the game is beautiful though I think are a little too wrapped up in the Eurphoria. The game doesn't look nearly as good as what they had been showing in videos at E3 and promos leading up to the launch of the beta BUT.. and this is a big BUT.. this might be the first time ever that I've forgiven a company for that. I do suspect though that all the awesome screen shots and in game footage they had been showing us for months now probably game from the PC version running with all the stuff cranked up at 1440p if not at 4k. I'm in the PS4 closed beta but when the open beta hits in a couple of weeks I'm going to check out the PC version and crank all the graphics up at 1440p and see just how different it looks vs console.

I can tell by the design of the actual game and RPG system itself that this game has a shot at serious longevity if they keep it up. How your skills are and how you need to find a balance or hit certain numbers in certain areas of your character to make full use some of your weapons abilities is great. I can tell the way they are doing things there's always going to be a reason for you to play, level up, find gear, craft, etc. etc.

I've seen a couple people complain about the Dark Zone and getting ganked out there. Well I'm sorry but to me that makes the game exciting and will keep it from getting stale. It brings me back to my olden days of World of Warcraft when you were out in a contested zone and you'd get jumped by 2 other people while you simply just wanted to quest. Sure it wasn't fair BUT what it did and what this game does is motivate you to get better at the game and motivate you to get better gear, upgrade your stats, etc. Case and point me, my bro RGmoney and KramerKing were getting rolled up on by dudes and probably we were loosing more fights than winning.. then we worked our way towards getting the Caduses and well, we fear no suckers now lol...

At first I thought it would be cool to be able to roll up on other people on my friends list and gank them but I understand why they don't allow it. It would make it too easy to always constantly greif someone because your friends always show up on your map so it would be too easy to find them the whole time they were on.

I see myself playing this more than anything over the next few months with the occasional break back into BF4 and the new UFC game coming out... oh and Xcom 2 for PC #masterrace lol
Probably one of the best posts I've seen regarding the game. Very well said, and absolutely on point with every sentence.

I played it solo and co-op both, although co-op is more fun you can certainly play solo just fine.

Its funny you mention Destiny, because this sums up my main concern about The Division. Unless theres way more story/mission content than it seems like there will be, I think this game is run into the ground within two weeks for most people.

It seems to me like a buttload of stuff isn't accessible in the beta. There are, at least from my perspective, what look to be "job boards" in the base of operations that are disabled in the beta, as well as the main missions each branch of the base gives. I believe the devs when they say free content is coming that will unlock further things to do/modes of play as well.

This game strikes me as a Diablo-type game where you will be hunting for upgrades, crafting, etc for a long long time. It's not a two week story is done so I'm done type game. Just my opinion based on my weekend with the beta.

Had a much better experience connection wise tonight. No drops, and everything was smooth.

Had a really tense moment when I went to extract. With about 15 seconds left, two rogues came into view, so I booked it down the street and took cover behind a car. I knew they were searching for me, so I waited until one turned his back and opened fire. I managed to down him and finish him off before his buddy got to him. Me and the remaining rogue had an intense firefight after, and I managed to flush him from cover with a grenade and finish him with the M1. Unfortunately when I went to extract again, another group of 3 dropped me and I lost everything.

Still had a blast. Nothing feels better than surviving despite being outnumbered.

Yes, I know but thankfully, since I don't have PlayStation Plus, when im playing the main and side missions, it's me and me alone which I like because putting the medical mission in MSG on hard difficulty was a challenge until I found a way to get through it while barely getting hit.

Simply, im just a single player gamer. That's the way I prefer to play.

I also have concerns with longevity with this game. We're all piling on Destiny, but this game has a lot of the same red flags that destiny had (has) as well.

Have the devs said what the game launches with, like amount of missions, game modes. Have they said what else is in the Deadzone? We're a month out and I feel like i have no idea how big this game is.
