Been enjoying the hell out of the game so far. My first attempt at the DZ was at level 9 in a group of 4. In the process of fighting a bunch of high level NPCs others joined the fight. What was hilarious was that nobody was going Rogue. In the end 15 People joined into this little army. The whole group stayed together till everyone extracted which took a while. Probably the best experience of teamwork I have experienced in a video game when just one person could have ruined it. Amazingly we did all this without speaking with the other people around us and everyone stayed to guard everyone's extraction. Crazy. .

Re: The Division (Xbone/PS4/PC)
One really cool touch that I witnessed tonight, the various factions will fight each other.
Running through Tenderloin, I heard gunfire in the street ahead of me. I figured it was a group of JTF soldiers in a gunfight against some rioters. Nope, it was 3 cleaners against 4 rioters trading gunfire, and actual fire in the case of the cleaners.
I couldn't even bring myself to fire on either group. I just sat there hiding behind cover nearby, watching these 7 NPCs fighting each other.
It's something so incredibly minor that has such an insignificant effect on the game, and yet someone thinking of and taking the time to include it during the development of the game just adds to the levels of complexity in this game.Comment

Re: The Division (Xbone/PS4/PC)
Running through the story missions on hard with a team of 2 is such a nice challenge. When your teammate goes down, the AI wastes no time at all surrounding you. I got pinned into a corner with like 5 guys around me, but thankfully, I had cover and was able to use grenades and stuff to keep them from rushing me. I was able to pick them off one by one and revive my mate and it felt like such an accomplishment lol.
Also had a solid 15-20 minute standoff with one of the named enemies; the guy that constantly puts up turrets. I had to keep taking the turret out and then try to get a couple headshots in with my sniper while he was putting up another turret.
I believe I'm up to level 10 now.NFL: Bills

Re: The Division (Xbone/PS4/PC)
I love this game! The story is great and the mechanics work even if everybody's a sponge. I'm really glad that I got it. I just have to team up more.
I went to the dead zone for the first time as a level 5. In the beta I did just fine. This time I enter the DZ and there is a firefight between two agents and two rioters. I join in on the fun and instantly get killed by a lvl 15. One of the agents revives me and I find cover. I pop off a few shots and get knocked down again, but then get revived again. I follow the agents and after running around a corner I get slaughtered.
Normally when a teammate leaves me, I curse them out. However, I know when I should die. I was bent over accepting my fate when i was killed by a baseball bat.
Great times...Rangers - Cowboys - Aggies - Stars - Mavericks

Re: The Division (Xbone/PS4/PC)
I am very pleased with this game compared to my first thoughts of Destiny. The echo activities are cool, the little pieces of Intel and story via the files you find is a nice touch ... All things which immerse you into the world and the epidemic at hand ... Without having to go online and read Grimoire cards (fail).
Can't wait to get on tonight and continue building my wings.Originally posted by Edmund BurkeAll that is needed for the triumph of evil, is for good men to do nothing.Comment

Re: The Division (Xbone/PS4/PC)
What kind of builds are people here going with? The game definitely pushes players to specialize as opposed to being a generalist, which I almost always have a problem with because I want to be good at everything. Interested to know what other people have been choosing and their results with it so far.XBL GT: The Kingpin187Comment

Re: The Division (Xbone/PS4/PC)
So far, I've fallen into the role of mostly tank/healing (though I still hit some good DPS) and letting him go with the damage heavy/tech stuff. It's working out well as our conflicting styles actually compliment each other in this game. In terms of missions, we've only done the MSG mission (on normal and hard) and the first subway tech mission on normal, but we're having a blast.Comment

Anyone happen to come across white pants and white boots?
I know it's friggin trivial but I'm playing Barbie dress up here (lol) and I can only find white jacket & white beanie. Found an all white beanie but it's that hipster looking one that sags off the back of your head.
Btw Matt, find your skinny jeans yet? [emoji3]Comment

Re: The Division (Xbone/PS4/PC)
Got on right when the servers came back last night/this morning. Decided to stroll into the DZ. That was fun...Went to that extraction zone in DZ01 took down two rioters then all hell broke loose. Cleaners coming out of the subway more rioters all chasing me down to the south entrance...I died spawned at that other entrance walked out a group was waiting there. Long story short I died twice but hit rank 5 in DZ and have about 500 DZ credits.
