    The fact that crafting is STILL the way to go and they just made that so much harder show how they missed the point/mark. People that leave because they didn't/couldn't/won't glitch incursions are never coming back. Period the ones that stay are only going to stay for so long as Massive figures out how to stop the glitches and exploits to the best gear, because again loot drops in this game suck. You kill a lvl 32 DZ06 Mob and get a 163 gear score weapon GTFO....I'll go glitch the incursion and pull a 204 Warlord and 240 Armor sets.

    I'm going to rant a bit here, but I think eventually (and we may already be there) you're going to get to the point where it's just the hardcore players left in the game. Eventually they're going to get bored shooting at each other in the DZ, or running the same 8 missions over and over again.

    I've been playing the hell out of this game since release, yet I'm still far from what I'd consider a hardcore player of this game. I've noticed since the crafting requirements changed, sure, I'm getting a lot of materials from finishing missions, but after crafting 2-3 items, if I'm not happy, it's time to start over again because I'm out of materials. So what do I have to do... back to running the same 8 missions again. BOOOORING. I mean, it's fun, but it's going to wear out quickly, especially on those who want to grow their character to be competitive in the DZ, but just don't have as much time as those who have farmed the game to death, glitched, etc, etc. Right now, I'm at a gear score of 176, that's with only 2 lonely, quick ventures into the DZ where I extracted at best, a purple. What's the point of me going in there now, into that high teir they're going to group me in to, only to get decimated by the 200 and ups.

    Now I'm running the missions over and over, accumulating mats, and phoenix credits to buy more gold blue prints, but... What's the point? I've got to run 3 missions on hard, to get 15 blues of each material. Which I can upgrade to maybe one gold. I've got to do that how many more times now just to craft a gold? It's insane. If there were more missions to run, or things to do, I'd be ok with it because there is more variety. Right now, it's getting mind numbing. Sure, the mission bosses drop HE's... but what do you often get? Gloves. Weapon mods. Other gear items, that are all rated LOWER than the blue prints we've probably all accumulated and bought with the phoenix credits. So... why exactly am I running these missions then? Just to pile up materials to craft more?

    I agree, increase the quality of drops now. Reduce crafting costs to somewhere about halfway between where they are now, and where they were. Then slowly, over time as new content comes out, include new HE's that are higher rated, include new tiers for players to advance to so there's always incentive to come back, keep bracketing the DZ so it stays competitive, and for the love of God... more missions to run.

      This game has forced me to do something I never though I would do...buy the Taken King expansions and get back into Destiny. I stopped playing Destiny over a year ago because I'm not really into the whole space thing. That's why the Division was perfect because it gave a "realistic" feel with a military theme to a shooter rpg. But until it gets itself sorted out all it has done is restart my interest in loot based shooters. I'll probably still do the dailies to keep my pc up, but I'm done grinding this game. Sounds like Destiny is at least rewarding the grind rather than sticking you on a monthly treadmill.

        Last night was the first night since release that my crew didn't have a four-man going a single time the entire day/night.

        You guys have said it well. IMO the biggest problem is loot. This is a loot game that doesn't want to give you good loot. Right now LITERALLY the only way to make my character stronger is the challenge incursion weekly reward.

        That's dumb.

        Super dumb.

        These games are supposed to feel rewarding, there should always be that carrot dangling in front of you of of potentially awesome loot drops.

          Not one person on my friends list was in game last night. More were online at the same time than I have ever seen and not one was in game. Even people I met in the Division that played nothing but the Division were not in game. After soloing the challenge mission I found myself thinking "what the hell am I doing this for", turned Division off and played some Show.

              I'm like 3-5 repeats away from burning out too. My gear is only 179 but I feel like the grind is too much to push it up. Plus what is the whole point of getting best gear just to run around dark zone and still get killed by glitchers?

                The Division has only been out a month, hopefully they can figure out a way to implement something similar to loot 2.0 from Diablo 3.

                This would be a Massive (pun intended) step in the right direction.

                As I've said, Diablo & Destiny have had years (or a year) to refine their game. All The Division needs is time.

                  They need to refine the PVP aspect. Only 1 option for PVP is ridiculous IMO.

                    It's not really strictly PvP though so I think it's fine the way it is.

                          this is a dumb question but what are the incursions? I've only got to play a couple times (thanks to a ton of work) since the patch/update. Are they on ur missions map or in the DZ? The only thing I have noticed that is different is the supply drops in the DZ.

                            Finally was able to get the challenge mode incursion done. got my first 240 GS armor(Sentry chest). a friend had a 214 GS striker's backpack that was better than the one I had and he gave it to me. I rerolled both of those(to switch from Firearms to Health) and the gloves I had(gloves had a low firearm roll on it). my DPS/Health/Skill stats are about where I was pre-patch now finally, except now I have really high armor with 65% mitigation. need to play around with gear mods to only use what I need as I normally used alot of gear mods that give armor.

                            I also got a 204 Aug Para and a 204 Warlord drop. so my low GS gear are my 191 striker gloves and my 182 pistol. overall my gear score is 209.

                              Now with the competent glitch this game is turning into a train wreck. It's almost comical and they are going to need a miracle to save it at this point. It's basically just a free for all and getting to the point where if they are going to punish glitchers/exploiters they are going to have to punish the entire player base.

                                I haven't glitched once and I'm perfectly happy. My entertainment of the game comes through progression. If I had maxed out my gear in 3 days I'd be unhappy like it sounds 90+ percent of people are at this point.

                                I've got all the story collectibles to gather so I plan on putting some time in still to get all those. My time in the DZ has been fun and relatively trouble free but I'm still in the under 160 bracket (and plan on working it so I stay down there). Hopefully **** gets situated in the next weeks while I casually play and scavenge those collectibles up.
