People are for reviews if it backs their argument, and against them when they don't.“I believe the game is designed to reward the ones who hit the hardest – If you can’t take it, you shouldn’t play!” Jack Lambert“Quarterbacks should wear dresses.” Jack Lambert -

The length some of you are going to justify your purchase is just hilarious.
You really care what others think of what you buy, huh?Comment

Re: The Order: 1886
2 days! I don't remember a game that got jumped on so harsh. Maybe Ryse, or even The Last of Us got some slack too. Maybe other games will be super tight lipped from now. Then again if that happened people would say a company won't release info, because the game is bad, or they are paying off review sites. Ahhh, people.
I think some of it is "trolls" from pc and xbox fans fueling the fire and others believing it. The internet makes it worse, because "console wars" have been going on since the Nintendo days. Sega does what nintendon't. That was funny, but with people these days and the same comments on every article, it's just annoying.
I just know I'm going to have fun watching bodies disintegrate and heads explode while destroying freaking werewolves!!! and play a game that I've been wanting to play for a couple years.

Re: The Order: 1886
Yup... Cause a short game single player game with no multiplayer in 2015 is sounds like a lot of fun. Yea, and Old games were fun and multiplayer wasn't a big part of gaming a decade or 2 ago. Metal gear solid was always single player game with a good length to the story and at least they're giving people multiplayer in 2015. 1886 was a game I wanted to buy, but many are disappointed with this game and that's undeniable.
Edit: The things people say to justify their purchases. If you feels it's ok to spend $60 on a short game that's half cinematic videos with no multiplayer in 2015, that's your money and choice, but don't try to make it seem like others don't have the right to question these Devs or critique the game on nonsense like this.

Re: The Order: 1886
As far as games go, that is pretty apples/oranges. Not just in genre, but time period in which they were released. Not to mention Chrono Trigger (one of the greatest games of all time) was around 30 hours?
Either way, I think this game looks FANTASTIC, but I can't remember spending $60 on a 6 hour game, and I don't intend to now.Last edited by VTPack919; 02-18-2015, 03:49 PM.YNWAComment

Re: The Order: 1886
Kotaku touched on this, it's a product of a Friday release, a worldwide launch and review embargoes. With the youtube videos hitting all there is to report on is the developer telling people they won't talk about length and a not-entirely-misguided belief that the game is 5 hours long based on a speed run. Most people in a position to change the narrative are under embargo and can't really comment and the developer can only do/say so much having drawn their line in the sand so the end result is a marred launch and all the hysteria.
it's crazy how this has spiraled...Nintendo Switch Friend Code: SW-7009-7102-8818Comment

Re: The Order: 1886
Definitely sucks, the way this has gone... mostly for Ready At Dawn, because of what is riding on this game for them. And they definitely are a good development team.
I will be supporting them on that basis alone. Although, I am very interested in the storyline and alternate history behind the game too.
