I'd venture it will take me a good three weeks to beat this game. I literally JUST beat Far Cry 4 last weekend.
Its probably average of 24 but I don't olay every day or even close. I just sacrifice a lot of sleep on fri and sat nights and will play til 4 or 5 in the am. That's how it can get the average up. I may have estimated on the high end.

            Same here.

I actually feel pretty deflated. I had very high hopes for this game and a gift card with The Order's name on it sitting in my wallet.

But universally, every review source I trust isn't even enjoying the story which is all I really wanted out of this thing. And the worst part is, I think this flopping so hard will only motivate publishing companies EVEN LESS to take risks on new IP's in this genre (Uncharted, TLOU, etc), which is undoubtedly my favorite "style" of game.

            Ugh. So sad.

That said, I'll wait for a price cut, which I'd wager will happen officially within the next two weeks, and see what I think of it.

meh, reviews and scores don't really bother me,as I know for ME this is a game I will enjoy.
People are for reviews if it backs their argument, and against them when they don't.

They should at least make you skeptical. Its not like one bad review, its universally.

But in saying that, I do hope you enjoy the game.

Here's a review synopsis from Greg Miller and Colin Moriarty. It's pretty in depth and definitely worth a watch.

Note: It is a tad spoilery so beware (nothing crazy, but Greg does discuss the post credits scene about 3/4 of the way into the video). Also, NSFW for language.

For the most part with the excpetion non TLOU which was a last gen game.. I'm still waiting for a "wow" game this gen. Graphics are one thing but I was hoping for some new experiences as far as better AI, new gaming experiences... I don't know. Something isn't what we've had before just prettier...
Maybe I expected too much which is probably the case...

Just waiting for The Show at this point. (As well as the constant hope a new NFL game is sooner rather than later)

                      You're welcome.

No. It's up to you if/when you want to renew GCU. Signing up for it can only be done in-store as well as renewing. Once the two years end, it's up to you to renew or not. If you like GCU and want to add more years, you can always do that as well as it stacks. I was already a GCU member when they changed the membership to what it currently is back in the fall of 2013. I added two years of GCU exactly a year ago for $30 via a mailed coupon so im good until August 2016. Best Buy always run deals on GCU from what others on cheapassgamer.com have told me so no need to stack unless you really want to.

For $30, it's a steal though especially if you're going to buy at least three games at launch in two years which im pretty sure every gamer does easily. I buy on release day because the game is $60 which gives me a bigger discount, points towards reward certs and when I trade the game in, I'll get back the highest base value. Once games officially drop in price or are on sale, the trade in values drop. I have noticed that the highest base value stays for at least four weeks after launch. For me, GCU blows away GameStop, ebay, etc. especially if you're not a collector which im not.

For 2015, I already have purchased Dying Light, Order tomorrow, Battlefield Hardline and Bloodborne in March followed by Witcher 3 and Batman in May and June so when you look at it, im actually getting one of those games for free and all of them on release day.

I was going to wait for games to drop to $40 ($32 GCU) but I realized that doing that ends up costing me more than buying games on release day mainly due to the lower trade in value by the time the game drops to $40.

I know I oversell GCU but it's a great deal if you're a consistent gamer like I am. Last year alone, I purchased and finished Knack, Watch Dogs, TLOUR, Madden, Mordor, The Evil Within, FC 4 and AC Rogue. Also tried Dragon Age, Lords of the Fallen, Bound by Flame and currently playing Unity. Cash wise, I spent around $80 total as I always have credit at Best Buy from trading in previous games. I have just under $200 now but im building up the credit until I have enough to buy an Xbox One. This way, I can buy the games since the cost is less than the console plus the trade in values will go towards the Xbox One.

Can't and won't speak for others but for me, it's a WIN, WIN and WIN. LOL.

Obviously, you're not a fan of The Order and while I agree with you, I have no interest in dealing with GameFly or Redbox. Been there, done that. Not worth it especially when the majority of AAA games are never available at launch plus I have no interest in waiting in the mail for the game plus having to mail it back. Also, I rather buy the game at launch to support the developer and publisher. I like Ready at Dawn and think that despite low review scores, the game will sell and im hoping it does as I want Sony to Ready at Dawn and make The Order a franchise. Plus, I trade in all my games once im finished with them so spending $10 or so isn't a big deal for me whatsoever.

Just be sure to sign up for GCU FIRST. To be on the safe side, sign up first and then do a second transaction for the game as signing up doesn't always register right away and the manager will usually have to do an override. I had this problem despite already being signed up but the funny thing is that it has to do with some kind of option in their POS system. If the cashier/CS rep doesn't know this, they get a manager who does know this. Stupid and funny but as long as you get your 20% off, waiting an extra five minutes is no biggie.

                              Re: The Order: 1886

I could care less about what The Order or any game for that matter gets scored from so called professional reviewers and anyone who does shouldn't even be a gamer in my opinion. The only opinion that should matter is your own, period. If you want to buy The Order tomorrow, great, I hope you enjoy the game. If not, that's great too as it's up to you but no one should ever let reviews sway them one way or the other. There's games that im buying no matter what any reviewer says. I also noticed that gamers who play the game and actually enjoy it usually contradict what the reviews said.

In the end, deciding to buy and play a game is the same as which console to choose...it's all based on personal preference and if you're looking forward to playing the game(s) and owning the console.

As for expectations, ever since Hitman Absolution, my expectations are ALWAYS LOW simply because I already know that few if any game is going to match or surpass HIGH expectations plus I realized that when you play a game expecting less, you tend to enjoy and appreciate it more than you would have if you hyped it up too much. There's a reason why 22 of the 46 games that I have completed since the 360/PS3/Wii era have scored a 9 rating or higher in my opinion. It's because I don't go in all hyped with high expectations.

This generation isn't going to be much if any different than last gen except for better visuals and such. The only new, unique and innovative thing that I have seen thus far was Mordor's Nemesis system and that's it. EVERY other game is basically the same stuff, different generation. At the same time though, I have still enjoyed the games that I have played and completed.

Too many gamers in general are expecting a new wave of innovation and whatnot. All I can say to that is good luck with that because I don't see that happening anywhere as much as gamers are expecting. I'm going to say one game a year will meet these expectations and even then, I wouldn't be shocker or surprised if it doesn't happen.

As for The Order in general, I seriously doubt that im going to rate it a 5 or 6. Seriously, you've got to be kidding me. While 5 is average on a scale of 10, let's be honest, it's more like an almost unplayable game and there's no way in hell that The Order is unplayable. If Unity can get scores in the 7's and 8's despite all the bugs, glitches and screw ups at launch, a 5 or 6 for The Order which doesn't appear to have any of those problems is simply bullcrap. I'll find out this weekend but I would be shocked, surprised and disappointed if I was to review and score the game lower than an 8. There would have to be some pretty bad stuff in the game for that to happen.

Anyway, 17 hours to go for me!!! Woohoo!!! Can't wait!!!
