Yes, we definitely need photo mode (ala TLOU) to be mandatory for all games!

I was on the The Order game "hub" (what is the official name for those btw?) on the XMB, and saw that I was at 120+ screenshots. And I'm only on chapter XIII lol.

It's different than the myriad open world games that have been on the market the last ten years or so.

I never said they reinvented the wheel, just created an engaging game that doesn't require me constantly going from point A-B to accomplish menial tasks.

To each his own, brother. I am personally getting burnt out on those types of games and found The Order refreshing.

My only complaint about the game is the lack of a checklist for the collectibles. It's 2015, would it have been that hard?? I got 15 of the 16 recordings, that's the only one I can actually see what I have. I have every other trophy (came naturally with one playthrough so sitting at 80% completition) other than the 4 collecitbles. I want this platinum so this weekend I plan on using some guides to figure out what I'm missing. I really thought I searched every nook and cranny LOL.

You can take screenshots of what you find and then go to a guide and match what you have.

There's no way to see what I have. I would have had to have done that from the start with all 77 collectibles.

Except Ryse had a terrible story (in my opinion) and I was bored of it about 30 minutes. When are people going to stop comparing games to other games. We're reaching a point where every game has a similar title. Don't act like Far Cry or Assassins Creed or any other game is something new and exciting. Side quests, open worlds, etc is boring to me. I'd play The Order over Shadows of Mordor every day of the week. I love Lord of the Rings, but prefer a strong story to the open world. The Order is far different than Ryse, not even close. The Order is hands down a far superior game.

I thought Ryse was a boring game with awesome graphics. I feel MS and Sony tried to impress with visuals and forgot what makes a great game.

I never trust first 2 years of games on new platforms. Its funny but to me the remasters we have gotten have been better games then anything new from MS and Sony.

16 total. I think about 3 or 4 of them are cutscenes.

That is fine and it's your opinion just like it is my opinion that a great game cannot be driven by QTE and Cuts along with visuals. Was the Order terrible...Heck no it was a decent game but to say true next gen or awesome game...Not here

I kind of expect to get more then linear gameplay with tons of babysitting tactics that the Order gives. And the story is not great IMO because it said nothing about the characters and left many doubts as to what is actually going on. Also some of the cool weapons were there for just show as you never got to use them again. I mean really?

I feel you on the whole side quest garbage fed in many games but the substitute for that cannot be a game with chapters that go by where you can put the controller on the table and it advances the game for you.

Its just my opinion...To me gaming is suppose to evolve and The Order did nothing that we have not seen before and made it worst by holding our hand to showcase graphical fidelity

Is there ever really a "current gen" if over a year into a consoles life we're still referring to games as "next gen".

The flip side is that it sounds weird if you say "man, this game looks so current gen". Of course it does.. It's on a PS4.

Didn't mean to Burghfan you guys, but it doesn't make sense to me

Either way, the game looks amazing. There's nothing groundbreaking about the gameplay mechanics, but they are fun. This game gives me hope that Uncharted CAN have fun gun mechanics.. That's always been the downfall for that series.

I'm sure this game has some DLC coming. It would be nice to get at least some of it for free. Loved the game, but the story was undeniably short for someone like me who doesn't like to play games on their hardest difficulty. I get no enjoyment out of that type of thing, which is why I hate the argument "Oh you think the game is short ? Play it on a harder difficulty". I shouldn't have to rely on deaths and re spawning to give me a suitable story length.


I'm getting further off track from the game. I think a lot of our unsolved questions will be answered with DLC way before we see a sequel to the game. It's sort of unfortunate, but people like me care enough and will pay for it.

Ryse was far superior from a gameplay, narrative and value (mp) standpoint but The Order is nowhere near as bad as the reviews state.

I guess I just don't have a problem playing a 4-6 hour game and being completely satisfied.

Games like The Order are like a movie to me...play it, enjoy it, and never revisit it again but totally satisfied.

If every game was a 20 hour game and a huge multiplayer comment, I would never be able to experience more than one game every 6 months or so.

Both Ryse and The Order brought far more to the table than the Evolve snoozefest.
