    Spoiler

I am determined to do all the legendary weapon missions (sword, bow and dagger) so I want to trophy those. That should add another 10-15 hours easy. Plus I am constantly doing the red shield missions (raiding feasts, recruitment, executions etc). So maybe I need to slow down the main story line a tad to get a lot of that done.

    Loving the game.

But like you I have Dragon Age 3, The Evil Within, Far Cry 4, Destiny and Alien Isolation coming my way (and my son's!). So I am not going to drag this one too much longer.

But no doubt a fantastic and under the radar game.
There are 2 areas you can go back and forth between, so you have another section left with more warchiefs and missions...It'll take you a while to do all the side ones, I just lose my motivation after beating the game.

I think I enjoy being able to do this though, lets me have fun without grinding all the time like I used to do.

        Man, this game is fun.

I just bought the game on the 15th. I've already played 85 hours and have 56% complete.

When I saw how many hours I've played, I was amazed. I didn't think I played that much, but this is one of those games that you get lost in to once you start playing.

It really is a fun game. But I think I'm at the point that I've powered up so much that I'm not likely to get killed in battle. Although I have recently had to run around alot more.

For anyone that has branded a captain or warchief. Is there any point to this?

I branded a Captain and let him loose with his gang. Later on, I went to fight a Warchief whose bodyguard was the captain I just branded.

So he helped me kill the Warchief then afterwards was promoted to Warchief. Is there anything I can do with him? he has a blue mission marker on the map, but I don't know what i'm supposed to do.

Of course after I posted this, I finally played a story mission and was instructed on what to do with the branded WC

And what's even cool is that I got cocky and tried to take out 2 captains and died 3 times while trying to kill them. So I' guess I'm not that powerful yet.

          Damn archers suck!

Yeah, there is so much you can do I felt a bit overwhelmed at first since I couldn't remember everything. But the stories unlock some of the tutorials so us newbies who got the game at Christmas shouldn't spend too much time just battling orcs. One chief has killed me once and I've had to run away twice. That guy will pay later.

I watched the hobbit movie that's in theaters now. Having played through Shadow of Mordor made me appreciate the movie more and gave it more life. I noticed and knew the cause behind little details I hadn't before in other Middle Earth movies. Like the way the uruks armor is fused and constructed into their bodies, metal plates bolted to their head to fix previous war injuries, etc.

I am on Mordor is Burning mission. So it looks like I will be finishing this game tonight.

I have put in just shy of 40 hours and am maxed out on all abilities and upgrades.

What an awesome experience this is has been! Now I need to decide between Far Cry 4 or Dragon Age 3. I am thinking Far Cry 4 as I want to wait for a major patch for Dragon Age (from what I have been reading it needs one to clear up some bugs).

I just started Alien Isolation with my son (we are playing through it together in 1 hours doses).

I have died too many times to even count. I'm just kind of figuring out what I'm supposed to do.

Its a fun game, but I need to learn stealth tactics a little better.

Stealth is a major key to success, learning to detonate fires an grog barrels to take out groups (as well as take advantage of fear of fire on captains etc) and eventually branding.

It took me a good 4-5 hours to really digest the game and what to do and where to go. But once you get the hang of it.....it is like crack. I have not stopped and am now finishing the main story.

Curious how the DLC will be.

                        Enjoy Uruk hunting!!!

From what i read, the dlc has been underwhelming. A lot of the new stuff is in a different mode rather than the main mode we've playing this whole time.

Ordered this for a boxing day sale, should receive tomorrow in the mail, any tips for noobs on how to not die a thousand times at the beginning? I'm guessing stealth is huge at first, try to build up XP and forgo captain/warchief hunting for the first couple hours?

Just started this game last night. Had to recheck the box after the first 20 minutes to see if it was made by Ubisoft since there are so many borrowed elements from Assassins Creed in there. Controls feel a bit clunky at first and take some getting used to. You learn the importance of stealth early on or you'll spend a lot of time running for your life and running into a bunch of powerful captains and their minions.

I feel like they throw a bit too much info at you too soon as far as your abilities and all that. I hope to settle into the game tonight and get more of the hang of it.
