This is the type of game I can get with. Currently at 21% mission completion with just over 100 hours game time.

This game is simply amazing. Just a blast to play. I noticed if one of your friends (on PSN) is killed by a Captain etc...you get avenge missions!!! Nice touch.

I have killed 1/4 War Chiefs and am totally immersed in the game now. Took me a few hours to fully digest how to play, understand what missions do what, intel for captains, upgrades, runes.

      Game is really a hit.

I've only put 5-6 hours into Dragon Age and for some reason opened and played this for the first time this weekend.

          I think I've made a terrible mistake

          Game is a blast.

Seriously...I love FC4, but have just gotten addicted to killing Uruks. I'm enjoying the story and pushing that along, but also doing the side missions too.

Great game, and fun combat that's totally different from FPS.

I can't seem to find anything fun about the game no matter how hard I try. The world itself is boring, as are the missions and characters. Everything feels like such a grind.

Even the Batman-like combat can't save the game for me. Oh well.

The DLC, it just downloads it even if you haven't bought it.

There is something that can be said about getting into a pickle with 10-12 Uruks surrounding you with a few Captains and battling your way to victory. It is an amazing feeling when you see that last captain running away and you track him down and take his head off with a classic finisher.

I had my evil laugh going after that encounter. Mob fights are serious awesome sauce.

And yes I finally unlocked shadow strike and shadow kill! I am a god.

I never got into the LOTR stuff, but this game looks very intriguing to me. Is this really worth it and that good of a game. Some sites are saying it a GOTY candidate.

It absolutely is, and I'm not a fan of LOTR really at all. I respect that it's a big franchise but that's about it. I only went and saw the first Hobbit movie because it was 48 FPS and in Dolby ATMOS (the Dolby was more impressive than the FPS).

OS impressions are really good and reviews (I don't really care about scores, just what they thought) seem really, really good.

If you like the fighting scheme in the Batman games, you'll like this game.

I bought it a few days ago, held off on playing it to try and beat AC:Unity and now I'm itching to play it again.

How the whole game is set up with the "Nemisis" system is pretty cool. Dying in the game actually has consequences instead of just starting over.

I also don't think you need to be a fan of the series to like the game. The game is overall fun.

It has a lot to take in. After 2 hours of playing, I still don't really understand the map yet.

Yeah, I've seen the LOTR movies, but haven't seen any Hobbit ones (want to see them, just don't see tons in theaters anymore). I enjoy the story and I'm not a massive fan of the series....To me it's just like any random fantasy setting/plot, but it's fun to follow. Probably not as good a story as Mass Effect or something, but worth playing through IMO.

I enjoy the Batman style gameplay too...needed something to offset the FPS/shooter type games I'd been playing lately.
