      Re: No Man's Sky

Is there anyway to get a refund on psstore store digital download or at least gift a digital download to someone. This game may have ended digital purchases for me.

It's my own fault I should have watched videos before. This has got to be the most boring and as aimless of a game that I can imagine so far. Which is not good since its start of game, 2.5 hours in and feel like a complete waste of time and accomplished nothing saw nothing and feel like there's nothing else to be had no matter what planet of the Quint I'll ion I may ever get too next.

So far it's what I've feared for me personally. Walk around a vast planet, get lost, and mine iron gold and plutonium for reasons unknown so far. That wouldn't be an issue if I didn't have the game crash or if I felt like it was a basic good game.

Real question : Why do I need a jet pack if I can walk straight up a 50 ft cliff?

I just feel bamboozled, let down, and should have watched or read reviews. I might have dropped $20-30 on it and not been as dissapointed but 60 for this is a rip.

Dude......you don't like the game. But a lot of us do. To each there own. It's obviously not your cup of tea. But your not getting any $$$ back from PSN because you don't like it.

Good luck. And don't ever go digital if you even question before your purchase if you may not like it. I don't drop 60 bucks when I have fears about something.

That's called gambling....and sometimes you will lose. Don't push in chips at the poker table your not willing to lose.

The beauty of this game is sharing all the adventures and pics with everyone on here.

So while alone, it still does not fully feel that way due to online communities. It's a personal experience, but one with familiarity through sharing our logs.

No, it would've been smarter to do research on the game before buying.

PSN has a no refund policy, however a nice phone call and you might be able to get one. Just tell them your issues with the game and how you would like psn credit. Worked for me before.

Umm, Ya which is exactly why I stated it's my own fault not watching videos of this game or waiting on reviews.

Some of you can get offended, defensive and upset that I don't like the game , but this is an impressions thread. Not specifically a good impressions thread.

When the game crashes on first startup, I spend 2.5 hours and accomplish nothing, able to walk straight up a vertical cliff, and feel like all I have to look forward to is mining minerals using a gun then I don't have a good impression. And with that said there's those that are going to have similar tastes that I have in games and are going to not like it especially after dropping $60 on it.

My impression is it's not a $60 game for me because it just seems like the universe it's simulating : a vast emptiness of nothing.

But please spare me the "should" have researched or defensive replies when I've already stated as much that it's my own fault jumping into this and would have saved myself disappointment and watched or read reviews because I would have figured out relatively quickly the game wasn't for me. Instead I rode the roller coaster on OS of hype and jumped in head first regrettably.

You should never go into a game blind.

Might have to chalk this up as a $60 lesson, man.
"It may well be that we spectators, who are not divinely gifted as athletes, are the only ones able to truly see, articulate and animate the experience of the gift we are denied. And that those who receive and act out the gift of athletic genius must, perforce, be blind and dumb about it -- and not because blindness and dumbness are the price of the gift, but because they are its essence." - David Foster Wallace

                        No Man's Sky

I picked it up on PC last night. Initially my base frame rate was stuck at 40 fps. Based on an online tip, I set every graphical setting to low and then closed the game. Launched the game again and reset every setting to max including frame rate to max and closed the game. Now I'm sitting at a pretty solid 90-100 fps base at 1440p with everything at max.

I have a gsync monitor but apparently there's a setting that could be causing non gsync users some issues. Some people reported a nice performance boost after adjusting.

Hey no worries like I had said not your cup of tea. I was addressing the refund thing.

But bamboozled? Come on man. I have had game crash issues like everyone and I am sure it will be addressed via the patch. But the game is delivering exactly what I thought it would for the most part.

A solid 7/10 for me. And if they support it by adding content this could easily become an all time great.

I can promise you that I couldn't possibly care less if someone else doesn't like the game. It's your reasoning that's the issue with me. This game is exactly what they said it would be. It's like you bought a Prius abd upset that it doesn't do 0-60 in 4.

I've never seen the case where one can only sell items from the ship...? Does that actually exist?
I have no idea, I'm not the smartest guy. I think you're right, as far as proximity. Thanks for the tip
