F12 with Steam will take them for you, then 'show on computer' to get at the not-as-compressed version.
Print Screen will dump it to the clipboard. Hit start, open mspaint, and paste and you'll have your last screenshot.

I felt like an idiot, I spent my first 3-4 minutes of the game waiting on the 'Initialise' screen thinking it was loading.

Anyways, got my fix, off to work now.

      Thanks for the info.

I spent a little over an hour just walking around, I did just hop in my ship for the first time and when I took off there was some serious chug/jutter for a few seconds.

I need to find three more species on this planet before I can leave

My chugging was things like coming over a ridge our out of a cave, the large transition/loading. Stuff I could see putting it on my SSD helping.

My planet wasn't especially pretty. Wish I had saved before I settings-restarted my first game, the toxic rain planet looked interesting. It is cool to look in the sky and see where I am definitely gonna go next

PC guys - does that version run at 60 FPS? (assuming sufficient hardware)

It does. TB was running above 60 so it appears to not have a 30 or 60 cap.

You can set it to be capped at 30, 60, 90, or unlimited

Seemed like the writing was on the wall for this. Before a few days ago they only had one person in the game on PC (according to the steam.db) page. I think it just recently became a priority for them. I'm sure any issues will be patched up pretty swiftly. Seems like anytime a game gets released on PC without anybody having played it/previewed it, you probably can expect a bad port

I haven't had glaring issues (not trying to be the RUNS FINE FOR ME guy, just being honest) but it definitrly chugs for a few seconds anytime taking off, as if the game maybe is struggling a bit with the background data streaming

While on foot and established on a planet I've had zero issues

Same here. Had been on the fence and finally decided to try, but now weary and will wait it out. Got enough to play anyway.

I'm on my second planet, but thanks I'll definitely have to look around.

Meanwhile, I'm just settling. It probably won't get me anywhere fast, but I'm trying to earn credits to get a ship that can hold 24 slots or more. Maybe that'll be faster on another planet, not sure. Currently I don't want to spend 13 minutes boosting to the next closest planet, lol.

                            Re: No Man's Sky

Just spent about 3 hours in my first planet. Docked at my first space station now.

One of the first things I did with the game was disable v-sync and set FPS to unlimited/Max and I think that's why I'm not having quite as bad a time as other are, I'm reading other people have had success smoothing things out by doing the same thing.

Still some hitching and chug when a lot of things get loaded at once (entering a planet, exiting pulse drive). That definitely needs a hotfix.

Enjoying the game very much so far

Last night I reached one of the most unique planets I have been on thus far, through a pretty decent total amount of gameplay. In fact, I got so carried away on this planet that before I knew it it was 4:30 in the morning.

                                No spoilers, just pictures:
