Thought I'd heard that too. Need the environmental system to go to very hot/cold planets, hyperspace upgrades to get further, etc.

That's good news then. The more realistic the better.

Has anyone heard them mention if there are any other cool types of things to find such as black holes, or pulsars, etc?

Murray did reveal back in 2014 that there were.......

30 facts about No Man’s Sky

- No Man’s Sky’s universe is infinite.
- You can only have one ship.
- You can’t customize your ship — but you can find one that you like.
- Earth isn’t present, but you might find something close to it.
- You can play with your friends (although Murray’s previously said not to think of it as a multiplayer game).
- You can take pictures.
- You can swim underwater.
- You can chop down a tree.
- You can choose to be a pacifist (although that doesn’t mean someone — or something — won’t attack you).
- Some planets are the size of Earth.
- You might visit a “dud” planet.
- You have a health bar.
- You can land on asteroids.
- The game features black holes.
- You will sometimes get bored playing it.
- It has no downloadable content.
- You can’t select the gender of your character.
- Not all planets can sustain life.
- You can’t collect plants.
- You can’t build a shelter.
- You can’t teleport to your ship.
- You can’t build a space station.
- It has a shop.
- It has no nonplayer characters.
- You can’t terraform a planet.
- You can’t destroy a planet.
- You face many objective markers.
- You won’t notice any gravity differences between planets — your suit compensates.
- You can’t reach the edge of the universe: “You can go into the darkness for as long as you want.”
- You can’t ride a dinosaur.

Well we know they changed the Non Player Characters. Since we have seen aliens and now know we have to learn the different languages. So what else may have changed?

I wonder if you can get sucked into a black hole? That would be pretty cool. But they would probably need a spaghettification mechanic.

I have a bad feeling though that "intelligent" life though is limited to just cut scene stuff like when u enter a building. Wthry sometikes show ships land but neevr anyone get out. They sometimes show a person in a building but its like a cut screen type thing, not like people walking. Never saw a city, never saw inhabitants, etc.

Cities and stuff like that would be really cool but I think that may be a little too ambitious for this game. And you are probably right about intelligent aliens just being sort of a cut scene in a building type thing. Not a huge deal for me though.

Re: No Man's Sky

That's what I was going on about earlier. I'd be so much more amped for this if the AI was dynamic, but it doesn't seem to be. I don't think the trader ships are more than a cosmetic thing(though you can get loot from them) as they aren't really taking resources to or from planets. The aliens are static and don't explore the universe like the player. As far as we've seen they just stand there and can be talked to in an extremely basic manner. Hopefully this is stuff that they somehow expand in huge updates or a brand new title, but we just don't know what their end goal is here.

That one planet was 700+ degrees Celsius. That planet should be one massive wildfire I would think.

Yeah, life as we know it couldn't exist there. That's a little concerning to me.

I would prefer a realistic approach to life on other planets. But it looks like this game is gonna take liberties and give us some unrealistic things. I mean that's okay I guess. If that's the route they want to go. For me personally I would just rather it be realistic.

Interesting observations. You're probably right. I'll be able to live with that but I can understand it being a drawback for some

I can respect that their vision isn't the same as mine, but I lean with PVarck on this one. I'd rather see most thins lean towards realism, but it's their universe, their choices.

Is it foolish of me to hope that it's something that maybe they clean up or add to in future content updates? Or is that not realistic
