Eurogamer has an interesting read identifying what's new. Rocket League? Lol, incredible how far they've come.

There are mounts - rideable aliens! - denser and more varied biomes, new construction and crafting, tameable creatures, milkable creatures, cooking and recipes, a new galactic map, a new discovery menu, a new word-learning system, all-new NPC races, NPC encounters on planet surfaces, improved base building that introduces logic and electricity systems and can allow for bigger bases. It can even allow, as Hello Games' founder Grant Duncan mocked up before our visit to the studio, for a fully functioning game of Rocket League to be played out within No Man's Sky, complete with a working scoring system.

Industrial bases, VR not causing motion sickness! Planets are loosely the same...but better looking? Like the scale of the game is just magnificent and feels as real as it can.

Taming is fun! Gotta get that milking on, lmao!

This is a blast with the guys so far!

I can't speak about Beyond specifically however did try it in VR. Resolution does take a hit trying to get the game to play on the base model. A Pro patch is usually supported by Hello Games that should help. Love to hear from pcvr players as their mouths will be wide opened in amazement.

As Bard mentions, those with vr legs will adjust quickly. If this is your first vr game take it slowly. You're flying through space and everything has scale to it. Sitting in my cockpit, I was taking it all in.

What a smile on my face!!

Group multiplayer missions? Social Hub? Here is everything you need to know what's in Beyond.

BEYOND: INTRODUCING UPDATE 2.0 Update 2.0, Beyond, massively expands the multiplayer experience introduced in NEXT, takes immersion to a whole new level with fully-fledged Virtual Reality, overhauls base building, NPCs, technology trees, and much, much more. Marking the three year anniversary of No Man’s Sky, this is our largest update so far, broadening the experience...

If I can find it for 20$ or less I might give it a try on the PS4. The new update looks interesting.

Sounds like it needs some work. Crashing issues and 30 player hubs but only 4 player groups apparently.

I have had one crash today. Other than that I have been lucky. Many people on Reddit are not having good luck at all.

Yeah, I had a whole bunch of crashes mainly when trying to interact with my planetary base (which was already a bit bugged anyway). I think part of the problem was the need to complete the "powering the base" mission since nothing had power. I did finally manage to partially disassemble it and when it finally allowed to to interact with the base computer without crashing, I just deleted the base. I was likely gonna delete it and start over anyway since, as I already mentioned, it was kind of bugged anyway.

Freighter base also has issues as I am unable to enter the storage container rooms. And for both bases, my galactic trade terminal was displaced downwards so it was half in the floor

I did not get long with the game, but did fly around for a bit in VR. The scale of the ship and being able to interact with the controls was pretty amazing. I do like how they did the controls in VR as it is very natural and quick to learn. Not sure on the other aspects of the game as I never got hooked before, but this will get some playtime again to give it another look.

So in my solo game I usually stay on my first planet, but man mine did not me, haha.

Super toxic, and then planet too is super icy and has terrible blizzards [emoji849]

Built up a standard base and trying to get through all the intro stuff before getting the hell out of this system.
