Somehow I keep forgetting this game is still coming. Between this and NBA 2k with LBP 3 and Alien coming in later I think I'm set for the rest of the year.

I saw on Twitter that they're targeting 1080p/30fps for PS4/XB1.

I was hoping for 60fps, but it's Ubisoft...

This game needs to hurry up though...

Not concerned about whether or not the game hits 1080p/60fps. I loved Far Cry 3, rated it a 9.5/10 and was my own personal game of the year for 2012 so I have high expectations for Far Cry 4 but those expectations are more for the story, characters, stealth, gunplay, etc. and whatnot. Best thing is that they kept the core basics intact which im happy about because when you have a franchise and start changing those core basics, the series eventually becomes crap.

Far Cry 4 is my second most wanted game (after Assassin's Creed Rogue) for the rest of 2014. These last three months should make up for the crappy previous nine months. LOL.

It looks nice and pretty interesting, but I wish they tried to go back to the first FC (minus the monsters) and create something more similar. The first Far Cry is still my favorite (Though I didn't play the third one, yet I watched A LOT of videos). As much as I enjoyed playing 2 and watching 3's videos, it never made me as interested in what was happening in the game as the first one did.

Far Cry 3 was the first in the series that I played. Downloaded the Far Cry classic demo when it came out but it was horrible to me especially after already finishing Far Cry 3.

I don't know the differences between the original Far Cry and Far Cry 3 but considering that the FPS genre is my least favorite genre and that I have only finished four FPS ever, me being pumped up for Far Cry 4 is saying something because that's how good Far Cry 3 was. Far Cry is the only FPS series that I have any interest in following and playing.

You really should try to play Far Cry 3 if you can before Far Cry 4. It's not perfect but it's close. I put over 80 hours into Far Cry 3 and im sure that I will do the same with Far Cry 4.

FC1 was more story driven. Not sure about 3 (but I suspect it's more similar to 2 than to 1), but I don't think 2 had a real story, or at least I don't really remember anything like it. I realize most sandbox games are getting away from an actual story in recent years, and it's up to you to do whatever you want whenever you want; but I still like to have some real story that makes sense and keep everything together to some degree.

I might try 3 at some point. I don't own a next-gen console (or a gaming PC), so I'm not getting 4 any time soon.

Story in Far Cry 3 was a weak spot but at the same time, it's an open world game and everything else made up for it. Story (and the characters) is important to me but not more important than the camera, controls, button configuration and overall gameplay because if all of that is bad, it won't matter how good the story is because I won't play it long enough to find out.

In the end, to each his own.

Just preordered! Can't wait!

For me the story in 3 was fun...I just love the gameplay though. Stealth or all out, hunting, bases to capture, etc....just so many things to do, takes me a while to play and get through. Probably now my favorite single player series.

Hopefully 4 delivers too.
