No question the game has issues. Call of Duty is one of my favourite FPS series of all time (BO3 is the first COD I haven't bought since buying COD 2 on the 360's launch) but lag compensation has been an issue with it since its inception, at least on consoles. Did not deter me from playing the games over the last 10 years. BF4 was an absolute mess at release and for half a year after with matchmaking and over a year after launch with netcode issues. It is my favourite single FPS of all time.

It's easy to forget and take for granted certain things but not that long ago, the COD games were basically unplayable during peak hours for weeks after release. R6S has issues but nothing that I've come across consistently enough to deem it unplayable. And I can only speak for myself, but with each patch the experience has gotten significantly better.

I get that you won't run into 300 ping too often, heck, I find running into anything over 100 pretty rare. Most games I see are always 40-70 on PC. I tend to sit around 50-65 every game. The point is even at those low numbers it is still extremely delayed like that video. It isn't an entire second like the video with 300 ping, but I would be willing to bet it is up to 1/3 of a second even with those low numbers.

I'm just tired of getting hit when I'm 4-5 feet around a corner, getting killed from someone who has yet to enter the doorway let alone come around the corner yet on my screen, shooting C4 and still having it kill me despite receiving the points for destroying it, and vice versa on all of those.

Do you know how many times I have been stuck in a 1 v 2 or 1 v 3 and I've just charged straight in because I knew the ghosting would cover me? Too many times to count. Just the other night I stormed the laundry room 1 v 2 and killed both guys and the entire other team said I had never even come around the corner yet when I killed the first guy and you could barely see half of my body by the time I killed the second guy. However, on my screen I was already inside of the room when I shot the first guy and had kept running 10 feet into it when I got the second kill, yet they said I was only half visible back at the doorway.

This game is just way too out of sync as it stands and needs a lot of work. I still play it with my friends because we have some fun besides the irritation, but we'd be having a blast if this was all fixed by now. I can go play CSGO and the second I run through a door I am visible to the opponents too. I don't get an unfair advantage for rushing like you do in this game. It's step up how it should be. The aggressor should not get the advantage over the defender who has worked the angles properly. CSGO only runs 64 tick servers. I believe this game runs 60. Something is going on somewhere else that is creating this big lapse in the syncing of players.

I don't know what it is exactly, but I sure hope it gets fixed soon because I really want to continue to play this game more, but as it stands now I am playing less and less and usually only doing a match or two at a time now.

Big Rainbow 6 patch (3 gigs); new operators (Canadian); new map Yacht. Make sure to restart your console.

I believe it's all ready been deployed on the consoles/PC. Happy gaming folks.

Been looking forward to this for quite some time. Cleared my whole evening to give the new operators and map a go. Curious about the patch. Lots of glitches the last few nights that I've run into that I hope this patch addresses.

It is a shame this game doesn't hold my interest like I thought it would. Played this game maybe 4 or 5 times since launch day.

Enjoyed playing with you earlier today. Like I said I'm not great at the game but I have fun with it & that's what's most important for me. I love Frost's bear trap got a few people today with it. If a person's wounded enough the trap will kill them outright which is nice. I like Buck but his recoil is pretty strong for his main weapon.

No biggie, I don't typically play serious either and screw around with different things. Once it gets to the final few guys left, then I'll start playing.

Also, anyone else seeing a weird character bug? It's like a static black image of a person's body sliding around. I always think I'm shooting the dude, but in reality he's either crouched or prone and I was actually shooting over him. Lost a couple of last man stand offs because of this.

I'm really liking Frost (I don't care for Buck at all), her traps when used correctly can cause havoc. My favourite place to put them are on top of stairs or under windows. I just played a game on yacht where I just put them guarding the control console and one by the hostage. I managed to win the 1-3 when everybody breached at once and the first two got trapped behind the console and the other one grabbed the hostage and then got trapped. It was a thing of beauty.

I'm still learning some of the better spots to put these. Under windows are obvious ones, same as tops of ladders and at the bottom of indoor rappel points. Conversely I've had quite a few funny moments where I got trapped myself in them when attacking. Sometimes all you can do is shake your head at your own carelessness.

Buck I've grown to like alot. I know he doesn't really offer anything team-oriented as far as gadgets go. But considering 9 out of 10 matches (if not more) end in one team getting all killed as opposed to the objective being accomplished, he's an absolute beast of an Operator in gun fights. My first match I played I went 8-0 over 3 matches with 4 kills each game on offence with Buck. At no point is he at a disadvantage when the enemy is in sight.

My problem with Buck has more to do with my skill in handling recoil (I have none) His M4 recoils a ton and I struggle to keep him on target in gun fights. His marksman rifle is imo pretty underpowered and requires a lot of shots to finish the job. His shotgun is awesome though and I do love how quickly he can switch from his attachment.
