    Rainbow Six Siege

For those of you that play Terrorist Hunt; do the following for improved framerate and smoother gunplay:

    Quoted from another forum

"There is a setting in the VIDEO setting called VSYNC. Turn it OFF for smoother fps on terrorist hunt and situational missions".

      Re: Rainbow Six Siege

So I see the update fixed nothing, but introduced more problems. I also ran into my first cheaters tonight(PC). One guy was getting inside walls and the other two had some sort of walls hack.

I also had an instance where I threw C4 through a hole in the wall and on my screen it was a successful throw, but when I blew it it killed me and acted like it did not make it through the hole in the wall and destroyed the whole wall. And on my buddies screen he said it was on the wall and didn't make it through the hole.

Invisible traps are a nice glitch. The hit detection is still terrible, but at least they have a pro league starting up I guess.

Maybe one day Ubisoft will get this game out of the beta stages. I hope so.

There is also a character glitch that shows you as all black with outstretched arms to everybody else. I really don't know how in the world this patch made it out. It was already delayed a month...I can't imagine how bad of shape it was in when they were originally going to release it back at the beginning of January.

          Re: Rainbow Six Siege

Me and my buddy played some MP this morning for the first time in a while and it was glitchy as hell. The whole first match, every enemy was a black floating outline that didn't actually show their location, and everytime I crouched, my armor would block my view.

Next couple games were pretty smooth, then the last game was terrible again. My last death was instantaneous with no sound, but the kill cam showed Montagne unloading on me with his revolver.

I'd love to play more, but man, I think I'll stick to terrorist hunt for now.

So apparently this patch introduced nitro cell rubber banding which might explain my death last night.

This game man. I have no words.

Just bought this on PS4 if anyone prefers to run in teams.

Haven't played online yet, trying to finish the situations first (need to unlock some operators anyway). Having fun so far though even single player is a bit tricky at times. I've always liked these more realistic shooters than COD, however.

Any ideas as to which operators are the best to start with? Should I wait for JTF2 to unlock in a few days?

The game is supposed to be introduced into e-sports come March.

It'll either be the death of the game or hopefully the fire under these devs butts to get the glitches/issues fixed. I know they don't want their issues with netcode, rubberbanding and glitches on the forefront in front of thousands of people...or that the team that wins the $100K get it (somewhat) unfairly.

It's hard though...especially when I got my neighbor playing their franchise across the street...maybe I will occupy myself with Glamore Magazine.

Played a good amount today after work. All was smooth. Just played my last match and it looked like the Ash video above. I think I painted an entire room red with the blood of this guy and I die. Kill cam shows him 100% health. He was the only one there.

This game is just dumb at times. It's fun when it works, but is borderline one of the worst online experiences I've had in the last 5 years of gaming when the issues start popping up. Battlefield Bad Company 2, BF3, BF4, and other games weren't even this bad at launch at their worst.

If you're on the fence, save your money until they fix this game.

Yeah, I had forgotten about the one time that happened to me. We were defending the hostage on the plane, and as I peaked around the corner, I pumped a good 4-5 rounds into this guys head. Saw the blood spray and all. Unfortunately, he killed me, and when it showed that he killed me, he was still at full health.

This game is far too unforgiving and skill based to have these sorts of issues. And it's too bad, because while I'm below average to average at the game, it is an absolute blast when it works. In fact, during one of the glitch free matches we had, I wound up going like 6-1-0, and it felt so damn good. The first round we were attacking to secure the area on House, and we found the objective in the side bedroom. We took off from spawn, and I noticed they left a window open to the room. I chucked a frag grenade up into the room and immediately killed two of them. Then I rappelled up the side of the house to peak in the windows near the stairs between the 1st and 2nd floor and caught two more guys unaware and wandering and dropped them. The rest of the guys rushed the 2nd floor and dropped the last guy quick.

Experiences like that are amazing, but then it comes crashing back down with the strange glitches.

I think on offence, Thermite and Thatcher are musts as far as someone running with them on a map. After that, Sledge, Ash, Fuze and Blitz if you're into riot shield guys, are all solid picks.

On defence, every team should have Rook, Mute and Castle. After that it's all personal preference but if those 3 are being used then Jager is a great pick as he has a useful gadget as well as probably the best gun on defence. Alot of people assume Doc would be good but don't bother...most gun fights result in death with no chance for revival.

This game is definitely a great experience when it works. I don't care if I am 10-1 in a match or 3-3 when it is working well. If I am 3-3, but all my deaths feel natural and not because of game/network issues, then I am fine with it. This game offers unique gameplay and is very addicting when it's working.

The issues just ruin it too easily because they are so bad. I also had an instance in that same match I played last night where I was 1v3 and took out the first two and met the last one around the corner. On my screen I pumped him full of lead, painted the hallway bloody red, but I died. He had near full health. The game winning killcam shows me round the corner and get off maybe 2 shots before he killed me. Basically the exact opposite of what I saw. I had to have shot 10-15 rounds on my screen and hit nearly all, but it is what it is with this game. It's not surprising when it happens anymore, just annoying.

Something has to be done in with the team killing seeing it way to much at least in casual. Maybe they should disable it in casual & leave it on in ranked. I know with a good group it's not an issue but with randoms it's hell. Here's a nice headshot kill from the hip I got the other day. <iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/yQux91aEFwo" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
