Lol you're the type that's gotta do things the hard way(nothing wrong with that). See the pict below of convoy in the Barren. The cars are silver in color = heavily armored. Sometimes level 2, which mean they have 2 health bars. 1st bar is whitish in color, then when you whittle that down, there's the 2nd which is green. These cars are more aggressive in their attacks, which is fun too. Its just faster to use the Drop Kicker, no trying to pull armor off cars 1 by 1. If the main convoy gets too far away, the cars you destroyed respawn. Let me know how this goes for you when you get here..

Also found a few secret scavenger locals outside the map.

Actually, in reality, I like to make things as easy as humanly possible. In games, as long as im not getting aggravated or frustrated (like I did in AC Unity), im fine. It will be a while before I get there as I still have a decent amount left to clear out in Gutgash's Territory.

On a related side note, in that last pic you posted, to the left is a scavenging location in which I couldn't find at all so im guessing that it's a story or wasteland mission but have you gone there yet? If not and you do, let me know if you find it. Thanks.

For some odd reason it says that its a Wasteland Mission quest. Havent figured it out yet either myself. I will keep trying to go back there to see whats up.

Finally went to the Proving Grounds and finished it on the first shot. Lost about half my health but went into Fury mode a few times. Would love to be able to turn off Fury mode just to see how the difficulty would be.

I CAN'T STOP PLAYING THIS GAME.

This game is so good. It's killing me that I can't put it down because for the first time in about 10 years I actually really like Madden and really want to play it but every time I boot Madden up and get to the loading screen I hesitate and think nahh and close the app and boot up Mad Max instead and go into a time warp where 4 hours later its 2am and I have a board meeting in 6 hours.

The just one more scarecrow or just one more project part game is strong with this one.

It also forced me to go out and buy the Anthology because it does such a good job with the Mad Max universe that I just had to go back and watch the originals again.

It's taking everything I have to hold off (you guys are killing me) on buying this game. I'm in September with my Cardinals franchise in The Show, so I have the playoffs to look forward to in that. FIFA 16 releases in 2 weeks and with the Premier League and college football going on and the NFL starting this week, there just aren't enough hours in the day to add something else to my life at the moment. Lol! Hoping to catch a Black Friday deal on it, but of course, Fallout 4 will be out by then. It's been a really strong year for games!

This is going to end up my favorite game of this gen so far. I'm getting Red Dead vibes all over again, which is a great great feeling.

I literally just want to sit in my couch and play it until I beat it. Lol.

Now that I had more time to explore Barrens, I wanna say that is not hard at all. I'm Road Warrior level 63 at the moment. Not sure when the level will cap off at. 48% complete with 8 missions done
There is old asphalt roads, powerline poles, ruined diners etc. Theres 1 camp that's not like the rest which I had fun at located in The Heights. Also funny that you fight a Top Dog mini boss while out at 1 of the Scavenger locations. Its also weird that Griffa is nowhere to be found once you hit RW.

Just finished clearing out and lowering Gutgash's threat level to zero. Have two Wasteland missions to do before going to Pink Eye and the eighth story mission. Have played over 50 hours already and Mad Max is easily going to be the second most hours I have ever put into a game when im finally finished. Can't wait to see how difficult the Pink Eye and other areas become.

P.S. - I don't care if it's MGSV, Tomb Raider, Fallout 4, etc., more games need Thundersticks!!!!! I love those stabbing and explosive spears.

Is there a way to determine how many hours I've played the game? Just curious as I've put a lot of time into this game, really enjoying it.

I've seen different posts about how much time people have played but can't seem to find it in game.

It's pretty cool seeing a storm come across the plains at you, but that last so damn long. However the last storm gave me 900 scrap, so it worked out.
I've wasted so much shotgun ammo because its they default weapon when you get in the car, it should always be the harpoon.

Yeah..I would use my harpoon in a storm to reel in a crate that is floating about in a storm to get it closer to me since it is hazardous to wonder for too long out into the open when a storm is happening.

Yeah, I had no idea either. But then Chumbucket said something like "Lots of scrap to anyone brave enough to weather the storm" (or something like that).

I saw a box with a 'scrap' icon fly by just then and went out and snagged with my harpoon.
Got 200 scrap for it.
Next time I'll try to be braver and hang out there longer to get more.

That box is the item. Come is 3's, then destroy each for 3 loot scraps apiece. I'm enjoying The Dunes right now. Cleared Barrens, not much left to do. Road Warrior level 78. I'm hoping it stops at 99.
