It was released in Japan and there was a way to download it but the world-wide release is on Tuesday.

God damnit, just suddenly realized won't be able to play for another 2 weeks. Two big projects due at the end of the month, it's gonna be the most stressful weeks of my life. I should be putting this game off and focus on finishing up my last year, but damn will it be hard

Did some research...

Herald seems the way to go their attacks and dodge combinations are great.

Second would be the mercenary actually a very CLOSE second.

The others? other than The warrior for bosses all feel like the rest of the classes are for more experienced Souls players...

Herald seems the way to go their attacks and dodge combinations are great.

I was curious on who build everyone is going with? This is my first Souls game, only other game from them I played was Bloodborne.

Bloodborne just seemed too frustrating to me from what I read. Very hard, no difficulty level options and if you die you had to repeat everything. I decided to not give that game a shot since I didn't want to rage myself into a heart attack.

Never played a Dark Souls game either. Interested but not sure. The game I can't wait for is Shadow of Mordor 2. The great number of combat options in Mordor were fun. How many different moves or abilities can you acquire in Dark Souls? I found Witcher 3's combat dull and boring because you basically had a light/heavy sword attack outside of magic. I want more variety.

The way I play Souls games is pouring my skill points into strength, wearing the biggest armor and using an Ultra Greatsword or Giant Club. Don't care if I have to fat roll my way through everything, once I get Havel's armor (or this games equivalent) its not coming off.

Dark Souls is the same way. There's no difficulty level and dying has you restarting from the last bonfire you rested at. Dark Souls combat blows away combat in every other action game that isn't made by Platinum. Personally I think the combat in Dark Souls is much better than the Shadow of Mordor/Arkham style of games. Some people may not like it since it takes a while to get a hang of everything, but once you do it is so satisfying.
