You should be able to now if you've preordered. It's unlocked AFAIK.

It's quite punishing, but looks gorgeous so far.

Took down the opening boss. Game looks great and having it run at 60 FPS feel so smooth.

Went with a herald to start the game. Never really used thrusting weapons in a Souls game so the spear took a little bit to get used to. Haven't died yet though.

Game has already crashed on my twice in 2 hours though, both times while within a few steps of a bonfire.

Anyone heard of any huge differences between the PC and PS4 version? Just wanna make sure if I decide to get this for the PS4 that I'm not picking up a game that is choppy and laggy.

PC runs at 60 FPS while the console version run at 30 FPS.

Anyone who wants a code for a free e-guide shoot me a pm. All that I ask is that you use it and not sell it for profit. First pm gets it. Also I'm headed to Best Buy to pick up my CE Strategy guide so I may have another as well. Enjoy fellas

Also you must answer all my noobish questions

I am very unhappy with the frame rate on the ps4 version. It is far choppier then bloodborne which was no biggie for me.

I feel the visuals do look slightly better then Bloodborne though

My CE Strategy Guide. Still can't understand why I collect these things. At times I want the guide more than the game it seems.

That's a bummer. That's one thing I'll never understand with From games. The frame rate usually struggles on consoles. I hope they can somehow improve it through patches, but I doubt it.

You are overthinking it a bit. You can up your evade with any character. It's how you increase your stats. I started as a Knight and have no issues with roll dodge. In fact I was surprised at how fast he rolled with that armor.

The other thing is that parrying is back in this game - thank god. That makes a huge difference in dealing with chained movesets, as you can parry them for massive damage before they can even get into chaining the next attack.

I think the thing that a lot of people don't realize is how much is on the screen at any one time in this game. You have all the geometry of the environment, the different intricacies of the level design, and all this destructible stuff. It could be better, yeah, but it's a very demanding game.

I only had a little time to play this morning before work. I died 3 times to the opening boss but came close to beating him the 3rd time. Hopefully I can take him down tonight.

That makes sense, but I was hoping the frame rate would improve with additional years of developing on the PS4 and One. Dark Souls I's frame rate was awful. Bloodborne was pretty solid and a massive improvement from last gen consoles, but hearing that DS III is worse than Bloodborne is discouraging. Regardless, I'm sure I'll still enjoy it as I always do with From games.

I beat the first boss without dying and quite a as ways after that as well...... Died from the monster on that roof later

Have not got a chance to go back there. Man with all the stats, weapons, rings, armor, ect its kinda overwhelming lol. But I'm enjoying what I got to play so far

Now I'm reluctant to get this for the PS4. I certainly want to play this since I loved Bloodborne. I just don't purchase many games to warrant buying/building a gaming PC. Am I overthinking if I should purchase this or not? Not sure how many of you are playing on PC or PS4.
