Re: Dark Souls III
Took down the opening boss. Game looks great and having it run at 60 FPS feel so smooth.
Went with a herald to start the game. Never really used thrusting weapons in a Souls game so the spear took a little bit to get used to. Haven't died yet though.
Game has already crashed on my twice in 2 hours though, both times while within a few steps of a bonfire.Member of The OS Baseball Rocket Scientists AssociationComment

Re: Dark Souls III
Anyone who wants a code for a free e-guide shoot me a pm. All that I ask is that you use it and not sell it for profit. First pm gets it. Also I'm headed to Best Buy to pick up my CE Strategy guide so I may have another as well. Enjoy fellas
Also you must answer all my noobish questions

Re: Dark Souls III
I am very unhappy with the frame rate on the ps4 version. It is far choppier then bloodborne which was no biggie for me.
I feel the visuals do look slightly better then Bloodborne thoughComment

Dark Souls III
My CE Strategy Guide. Still can't understand why I collect these things. At times I want the guide more than the game it seems.

Re: Dark Souls III
That's a bummer. That's one thing I'll never understand with From games. The frame rate usually struggles on consoles. I hope they can somehow improve it through patches, but I doubt it.Comment

Re: Dark Souls III
I went with herald but now im wondering if mercenary would have been better..or even theif...these bosses do triple attack moves and you need to be fast to evade..but honestly those three the theif the herald and the mercenary are the fastest...
wish it let you pick the attributes of the buil;d you want. allocating where you wanted studff like in fallout...
The other thing is that parrying is back in this game - thank god. That makes a huge difference in dealing with chained movesets, as you can parry them for massive damage before they can even get into chaining the next attack.Comment

Re: Dark Souls III
I think the thing that a lot of people don't realize is how much is on the screen at any one time in this game. You have all the geometry of the environment, the different intricacies of the level design, and all this destructible stuff. It could be better, yeah, but it's a very demanding game.Comment

Re: Dark Souls III
I only had a little time to play this morning before work. I died 3 times to the opening boss but came close to beating him the 3rd time. Hopefully I can take him down tonight.Comment

Dark Souls III
I beat the first boss without dying and quite a as ways after that as well...... Died from the monster on that roof later
Have not got a chance to go back there. Man with all the stats, weapons, rings, armor, ect its kinda overwhelming lol. But I'm enjoying what I got to play so far

Re: Dark Souls III
Now I'm reluctant to get this for the PS4. I certainly want to play this since I loved Bloodborne. I just don't purchase many games to warrant buying/building a gaming PC. Am I overthinking if I should purchase this or not? Not sure how many of you are playing on PC or PS4.Comment
