Made some progress and killed 2 more bosses. *** **** there's a certain Mage that ****s my **** up.

Also if you played dark souls 1, you'll enjoy a nod to the game

Made decent progress today. Cleared Road to Sacrifice, Farron Keep, and Cathedral of the Deep.

Wasnt a big fan of any of tjese areas. The Farron keep main boss gave my build fits, but I finally got a decent helper and took him down. The Cathedral was hard. There was one part where I had to stay alive for 90 minutes or so just to get to the bonfire. I prolly missed something, but it was a trek and the enemies weren't pushovers. The boss was kind of a joke after the one i fought before and how annoying it was to get there.

I played the game for a bit so far and I'm enjoying it a lot. It seems a lot more forgiving earlier on than Bloodborne was. I beat the first boss pretty easily. That being said, I've still had my fair share of deaths so far too. I can tell **** is about to get worse lol. I wasn't able to beat the little ice monster before the first boss, so I guess I'll come back and get him some other time. My plan was to hit him with a few of those fireball things, so I bought 3 of them. I wasted 1 of them when I hit the button by accident and missed with the other two. He promptly killed me right after that. Yep... that's about right. Lol.

Beat the tree boss easy as pie and on the first try yesterday .... After that I went to other area where instead of riding up the elevator thing to where that giant stand you go down and fight a smaller version of Vordt ..... And for some reason he kept killing me over and over for like 45 minutes

It's like never stops swinging that sword so even if you block you run out of stamina, get hurt and eventually killed. I finally beat by rolling non stop, but it was surprising how he seemed so much harder than any other guy I've faced

I honestly don't know what the heck I'm doing when upgrading stuff. I'm a Dark Souls noob..... I heard from other people the tree was kinda hard for new players at least, but for some reason he was easy for me

This is my favorite console game in years. It is everything you could ask for in a video game IMO.

There are some glitchy issues with matchmaking, but I am sure those will be sorted out.

Holy ****, the second lord of cinder has massive damage potential. The area leading up to it was pretty easy, but this boss can take down 90% of my health bar in a single hit

EDIT: Wow! As soon as I post this, I beat him the next run right after. He never did the 1 move I just complained about that destroys me.

They clearly didn't want people to play as casters. All the catalysts are slow as hell and there are so many enemies that are just an absolute pain. Not to mention everything is nerfed to hell.

That and 95% of the summon signs I hit, I get Unable to Summon phantom. Some bosses are basically impossible for me to solo.

Think I'm hitting near end game now. Killed the fourth lord of cinder, found a titanite slab and just need a couple more chunks to get a +10 weapon

Up through the catacombs and Cathedral of the Deep now. There's a greatsword that makes the catacombs hilariously easy. Glad I was already upgrading it and using it.

Ok So I beat the third boss tree man and just beat the mino boss ice knight which is not a boss but tough as hell. Took a break after I opened the doors and the sweet ice blade is looking nice but underpowered compared to my claymore sword.

Level 34 14 hrs played

Did you get to the woods yet? There's a bunch of things related to sorceries there, like a ring to speed up casting time and a helmet that boosts magic damage. Also you gotta boost your dexterity as that's linked to casting speed.

Only bested 3 bosses so far and damn it took me forever to find the second bonfire in undead settlement. Especially since it looks like i'm gimping myself being a mage (my other character is having a much better time). Oh well. I'm gonna farm enemies near the bonfire to get 20k souls and buy the tower key at the Shrine. See whats over there.
