I never made it more than couple hours into the Arkham Batman games. I really wanted to like them.

Was going to wait on this because of 2K but I caved and bought the digital deluxe edition last night

Admittedly, I hated the first 30 miuntes or so because my mind kept thinking of Batman Arkham and Spiderman 2 controls lol. After adjusting, this game is so much fun. One thing that surprised me a lot was how quick and aggressive enemies were at attacking. They definitely make you feel very vulnerable

Swinging is great as everyone has said. I feel like I'm getting faster every time I get out there

It feels like Arkhan Knight at first but the progression tree and gadgets really provide a lot more possibilities than Batman did.

I’m going to have some trouble unlocking all these suits. I have 4 I haven’t bought yet that require challenge tokens and 3 left to unlock that I’m assuming cost tokens. The ones I have ready to unlock require 20 tokens. I’m guessing the 3 I have left to unlock require at least 16 or so. I might be screwed unless I feel like grinding challenges for hours to perfect them and that doesn’t sound fun at all.

Still got some gadgets to upgrade that cost tokens too. Ugh.

You don't have to get all 6 tokens on every challenge for platinum on this game. There isn't a trophy for gadgets, so if you're saving up for all the suits you'll be alright. I couldn't get higher than silver on most of the bomb / drone challenges, got gold on some of the combat and stealth challenges to get all suits. I don't think I'll be able to bump everything up at gold. I've beaten the drone to the ground and hit every camera and still didn't come close to Gold (I think they mentioned if you follow it's trail you get extra points? I could be wrong on that), but I could never follow the trail close enough consistently.

I just got platinum and I never got better than silver in the challenges. Some of the suits aren't worth the tokens imo, lol. One gadget was locked the whole game. I could try and do better on the challenges, but they weren't really fun outside of the combat ones.

So I finally got to play the game today after BB messing up my order and not getting the game to me un till yesterday and not having time to really play un till tonight. So a few thoughts so far. 1 Graphics are amazing one of the better looking game this gen more blown away with the way the game looks than I was with uncharted 4 or GOW. I am not blown away with graphics that often any more like I used to be. I think that is because the jump now in graphics is smaller than it used to be like when you went from say ps2-ps3 and went from SD to HD but with that said the graphics in this look crazy good. 2 Web swinging is so good reminds me a lot of the movies but I said that after I saw video's leading up to its release. 3 Combat reminds me of the Arkham games in a lot of ways and that is a great thing because the combat system in the Arkham games is such a great combat system. But at the same time its a lot different has spiderman is a lot more agile and a lot faster than batman like he should be still getting used to combat but getting better. 4 Having a fun time unlocking the different suits. 5. like the gadgets you can get. 6 Music is really good loving the music. 7 I dont normally like mess with photo much in games but I love photo mode in this game I had one photo I took where I had accidently web a guy to a pool and I took a selfie with him after I did that. So far I am enjoying the game a lot need to play a lot more before I can like really compare the game to the akrham games. I am not really doing side missions yet just mostly story and I dont think I am that far so with out doing side missions yet and with not being super far into the game its way to soon to say just how much I like the game. I never do like side missions on first play threw of a game. I always just want to beat the store first and than I tend to do a 2nd play threw doing side missions.

I forgot 1 thing I love how alive the city is there are way more cars and people in the game than past spiderman games and being able to like high five people is cool. It just makes it fell more alive and real and it was one of the few things I felt like was lacking in the spiderman games.

After playing this it really is hard to think that the game could look any better on the pro has I am playing on just a slim ps4 and it looks so darn good.

I'm still astounded at the level of detail this game has honestly. As much as I've played, I still find myself stopping to look at things up close. Like, just look at this lol:

GoW on ps4 pro with hdr was jaw dropping for me. Only thing that had similar effect for me in spider-man was some of his outfits, the skyline at sunset, and the thigh gap on every female in the game.

Just finished the main story, leaving the other side things left to complete for when the DLC drops, but that was easily the best story mode I've ever played. Actually had me tearing up at the end. There better be a sequel soon....

Man... I'm dreading having to wait 2-3 years for a sequel. I'm hoping it's similar to the Arkham City timeline though. That game was out within 2 years, difference here is they already have the open world foundation. I'm expecting a trailer or at least an announcement of Spiderman 2 by PSX 2019.

I did the mission with Jefferson Davis (pause) last night. The past couple of days I've read some articles criticizing the game's perspective of the NYPD. I'm still early on in the story so perhaps it gets "worse" as the game progresses, but I just don't see what the fuss is about. Last night's mission was the perfect summation for the NYPD presence thus far in the game - a leery, unstable partnership that still manages to cooperate in order to take down crime.

I have not read anything but I thpught someone would complain eventually.

I figured it would be about the corruption in the force because of Fisk.

Of course, we all know it's fiction and corruption is the point of the story otherwise crime wouldn't be so rampant and Spider-Man wouldn't be needed.

Next, PETA will complain about skinning animals in RDR.
