I have literally had Elite Dangerous in my cart for about a month now going back on forth on whether or not I want to buy it. Been one of the hardest decisions on buying a game that I can remember. I loved NMS when it came out.....for about a week and I love space stuff, so you would think the decision would be easy for me lol.

This game blows away NMS and it is not even close.

In ED, am I always around other players in the server? Like how many people are typically in the same server as you are? That was my main issue with NMS, the lack of other people in my game.

You will see other players. I've even had a couple of times where I've spoken to other players via the in-game text chat feature. I don't think many have picked up any sort of pirate roll just yet so I haven't run into any other players acting as pirates but you never know.

A better way of explaining it. Anytime you jump to a new system that is a new instance...or server I guess. There could be other players in this instance with you and if it's a popular system there will be. But once you drop out of FSD to actually visit a station or planet that puts you in another instance. So the players you had seen or talked to would no longer be there.

Also, the further you get away from the starter systems the less likely you are to bump into other players. But there's always a chance. You could also join a wing with I think up to 4? Of your buddies and travel together.

To any one who is wondering though this isnt as pretty yet as NMS in terms of landing on planets and seeing animals and mining different things. I believe it will get to that point but as of now it is more of a space exploration sim.

And to Camp, I just use my DS4, it works great for me.

Picked up the Deluxe Edition and a Flight stick. Hopefully I can start my journey tonight. Hyped would be an understatement

Spent almost an hour last night trying to land without crashing lol. Still in training and don't see me leaving that mode for a while lol.

Sitting here right now going through the training videos before I go to work. I did grab a stick the a Logitech Extreme 3D Pro that won't be used anytime soon. Training videos are my priority right now.

Got my ship out into the open and went rouge on a ship and next thing I know I've been blown up lol. Was also fined for firing out in the open in a no firing zone. I couldn't wait to finish the training videos I needed to get out. Don't have a clue as to what I'm supposed to do or go?

I am just hoping they release the 4K/HDR patch for the Pro, which is supposedly coming out at 2.4 release or when the new Xbox comes out.

Watch Obsidian Ants videos on how to get started. If you have actually started your game there should be a simple data delivery mission in your transactions tab on your left screen inside your ship. Once you find it hit the button to view in galaxy map. From there set your route and just follow the radar

Landing gets a lot easier after doing it so many times. The most frustrating thing will be finding your landing pad and or finding the entrance into a station. Although those also get easier after practice

Must of missed it in training, how do I get out of supersonic speed, always overshoot my destination?
