Now that I have finished the main story:

Now that I'm John Marston and I've explored the section of the map from RDR 1, I really hope they can somehow give us the entire first game to play through in this game as DLC. I know it's a dream but a lot of the map is already there.

100% this. I'm on Chapter 3, but I really have no urge or ambition to lumber through this game. This is really depressing to me because RDR1 was so great, but damn if this game just doesn't get in the way of itself.

I've considered restarting just because I feel like I'm missing something, but to be perfectly honest this game has me wanting to run back through The Witcher 3, Horizon: Zero Dawn, or Watch Dogs 2 more than anything else. I know those games don't have ALL the things RDR 2 does, but those games grabbed me from the start and didn't let go until the end. For what's in those games they execute them in ways that never break my immersion from the game's respective world.

Yeah, I love RDR 2 but prefer RDR 1 by a pretty big margin, however I think RDR 2 is objectively the better game. It should be since Rockstar had eight year's worth of development and improvements but I liked the more casual, typical Rockstar feel of RDR 1. The intense, in-depth, RPG-type feel that RDR 2 has--reminiscent of The Witcher 3 and many other games--is impressive but not my favorite cup of tea. The Witcher 3 is one of the few non-sports games I've played in the last five years and while it was an amazing game it was simply too overwhelming for me. I was glad when I finished it and never gave a thought to a second playthrough.

That said, my second playthrough of RDR 2 has been more enjoyable since I know what I'm doing from the jump and I can explore the world and advance the story without nearly as much frustration as the first go-round. The game isn't quite as intense as the likes of The Witcher 3 and I've realized if I cook some meat by campfire and remember to sleep at camp or my campfire every day or so I'll be fine. Hunting still gets frustrating; searching for perfect squirrel pelts and such. :

It’s for the online beta only ultimate edition buyers can use today. Don’t think it’s much else. They still haven’t even acknowledged the hdr fail lmao

I don't care about HDR. That's cosmetic and I'd rather bugs like random weapon loadouts be fixed.

It's more than just an online beta update like you're assuming. The missing campers is fixed for example.

Heard theres no free aim lobbies for red dead which sucks. I only enjoyed gta online on freeaim since that's the major reason why people shoot on sight because of the autoaim.

There is no reason both shouldn’t be fixed. There are a ton of people who would like to play the game looking its best and the way it was advertised to look. Myself included.

I have my honor almost maxed out. It's never been this high. I'm basically Handsome Stranger, right now, if anyone gets THAT reference. I even have the pearl handled guns.

Love that idea! I'd play that, too. I was just thinking about how creepy the zombies would be out in the swamps late at night in all the fog.

Kind of off topic, but the RDR2 world and set up seems perfect for a survival type zombie game. Not a hack em up game but strategic, rationing, hunting type game.

I tried to install the 5.7 GB update tonight, it failed and said to try again later, my screen went black for about 30 seconds and when my Xbone came back to life the game was gone, uninstalled.

Reinstalling it now.

Patch just released this AM.

The patch finally gave me my Double Action Revolver and Stone Hatchet from GTA Online. Did not think I would ever see those.
