My slow burn is on Chapter 4 still (after a restart because of the missing campers bug). I stumbled into a couple side missions of sorts that aren't tracked in the log that have been keeping me busy the last couple nights. Also found some interesting things around the world that may or may not lead into something down the road.

Re: Red Dead Redemption 2
You said it, game:
That's only the second fish I caught online (first was a tiny perch). Strangely enough, I couldn't figure out how/if I could eat it. So I ended up selling it to the butcher for around $8.
Also got the shock of a lifetime while doing a cart recovery mission:
SpoilerYou know how those are usually shoot up a bunch of outlaws who stole the cart, recover it and take it back to town? Well, this one wasn't abandoned because of people - it was A DAMN GRIZZLY BEAR! After getting mauled once before realizing what had happened, I pulled out my brand new bolt-action rifle and put a dead-eye powered shot between its eyes. Fortunately I wasn't harassed by anyone while returning the cart and the rest of the mission went without a hitch.Last edited by bcruise; 12-22-2018, 06:10 PM.Comment

Re: Red Dead Redemption 2
I restarted the game Friday night. I just made it to Horseshoe Overlook and have done a couple missions since then. It's clicking a lot better now that I know what the game is and who Arthur is somewhat. I still really hate the menus and inventory system, but I'm enjoying this second go around a lot more than the first.

Re: Red Dead Redemption 2
Can someone give me like an overview on how to commit crimes and not only escape the law, but not obtain a bounty in the process?
Is it as simple as wearing the bandanas?
I was collecting a debt and one witness mistakingly thought I had committed robbery. So he takes off and for some reason is doing laps around the nearby house. I walk over, lasso and hogtie him, and strap him to my horse. Before I could take him to the middle of a nearby field some uppity prude had erroneously told the law I was kidnapping this poor man. Before I know it I have a ten dollar bounty on my head. Halfway back to camp a group of a dozen or so bounty hunters pop out from behind the mesa and believe themselves on the path of a get rich quick scheme. Luckily Jeffery, my trusty steed, galloped me to safety and I eventually paid the bounty to clear my name.
Now, the most fun in these Rockstar games is to cause havock and go on some genuine rampages, but I can't afford to be catching a bounty every time I need to blow of steam. Any suggestions or tips?

Re: Red Dead Redemption 2
I was mistaken on my Chapters and was actually in Chapter 4 when I thought it was around 6. The game definitely is more fun than I was originally giving it credit for. I enjoy the story quite a bit more than I thought I would be. I barely even hunt or do side missions out of my way.Last edited by AUChase; 12-26-2018, 12:14 PM.Comment

Re: Red Dead Redemption 2
Got the game for Christmas. Spent 2 hours playing today and only got 2% of the story complete!
Any way to skip the horse riding back to camp?Comment

Re: Red Dead Redemption 2
Has anyone passed the “kill 4 consecutive enemies with the same tomahawk” challenge? I just can’t get that to work. I thought dropping my other tomahawks so that I’m only carrying one would help, but no dice. The kills aren’t even registering.#LFC

Re: Red Dead Redemption 2
Apparently, I just beat up The Invisible Man. I was getting punched out of thin air and decided to fight back. Picked him up to “hide the body” and wouldn’t you know it, someone actually WITNESSED this and tried to sell me out.#LFC

Re: Red Dead Redemption 2
Question re: the trapper...
I have a perfect panther pelt that I want to use for the No-Man's vest. I cannot sell it to him for some reason. I was able to sell my perfect goat pelt--the other ingredient for the vest--but I can't figure out how to give/sell him the panther pelt. Re: Red Dead Redemption 2
The controls and some of the mechanics are terrible. I never have fun during shootouts because it feels like I'm fighting the controller trying to maneuver and get in cover.
