Played through the Colter chapter. This is going to be fun. This I like whereas GTA games seem overwhelming.

Still no sign of War Horse for me; my buddy who bought the same pre-order edition can't get WH either. Does anyone where to check the total time played?

I'm loving the game but I have to admit I'm a little disappointed, for now, in how far Rockstar went on the RPG spectrum. This game feels a lot like The Witcher 3, for example. While I loved that game, I also love what Rockstar typically does with GTA/RDR where it's more on the fun side and less on the realistic/RPG side. There is so much stuff to collect, to craft, to sell, etc. I love how slow and story-driven the game is but some of the minutiae might be too much.

The game is overwhelming, I don't really know what I'm doing yet and that will improve, so I'm curious to see if my feelings change on this over the next few weeks.

Passed out watching the World Series. Have a double header from 9-2. My 30 year high school reunion tonight.

        I want to freaking play!!!

Will sneak in 1-2 hours to start this bad boy this afternoon.

This is kind of getting my goat; how do others feel about it?

I can't believe how alive a small town like Valentine feels. I can't imagine what the larger towns are going to feel like.

The game is a technological marvel.

I have to admit as PS4 Pro owner, I am jealous hearing about how the game looks even better on the Xbox One X. This is definitely a system seller.

Is anyone finding the game looks better with HDR off? I think something is screwy with HDR in this game.

You can't get the DLC horses until you get use of a stable. Once you do they will be in there. If you already have stable access then I would just double check that you actually downloaded the DLC after redeeming your code.

I agree with you on some aspects feeling RPG-like. I'm not a fan of having to keep making sure the camp has things to use for stews and whatnot. It is definitely overwhelming how much there is to do.

The bounty on my head currently is starting to annoy me. Everywhere I go I end up bumping into a group trying to kill me. It's cost me my horse twice.

I think it looks great with HDR on but I'll turn it off on my next play to see if I can see a difference at all.

I have the stable in Valentine. I've double-checked that the DLC is installed. Still nothing. My buddy says the same thing.

Agreed. You pretty much have to steer clear of civilization.

Hmmm...the War Horse should be in there then. It's all white if that helps and it doesn't say War Horse in the stable. I think the name starts with an "A".

For those overwhelmed - and I admit I'm not up to that part yet - didn't Rockstar say that tending to the camp is optional? You'll get comments and obviously lose out on some benefits, but the camp can survive without you.

Yes I posted the same earlier in the thread. On Xbox One X the game looks better with HDR off imo. It looks good with HDR on but with it off the visuals take a pretty big leap. I'll post a comparison pick when I get a chance.
It’s easier to do the right thing, than to explain why you didn’t.

There is an item you can buy that makes the camp much easier to maintain for Arthur. I don’t want to spoil stuff but the ledger actually kind of gives it away.

I’m overwhelmed by the hunting. Actually annoyed by it. I’m starting to think I may play through without upgrading anything and it will be more fun that way. I’m wasting so much time looking for pristine animals.

I looked at that horse IIRC and it had worse stats than the other free horse in that stable. Rockstar pulling one over on us?
