Re: The Last of Us Part 2 (PS4)
My biggest problem with the companion A.I. is when I'm quietly taking people out with my bow and arrow ******* Dina stands up and starts firing away with a gun making a ton of noise and alerting the world. I actually tried to shoot Dina several times, but of course the game wouldn't let me.
As far as your last note, although I can't shoot my companions (and I even unsuccessfully tried to shoo my companions off of cliffs and into those wire trap mines), one of my companions somehow too an arrow to the face, and for the longest time they were just running around with an arrow coming through the front of them without a care in the world.
I took a few screenshots but need to get my thumb drive to upload them here. I'll do it tomorrow if I remember.
It's really cool though how you're not always required to kill people. If you can sneak by, sometimes you're good! Just head on over. I've found some remedies here and there, but often I like to clear an area of enemies for collection purposes afterward.Last edited by Blzer; 07-04-2020, 05:51 AM.Samsung PN60F8500 PDP / Anthem MRX 720 / Klipsch RC-62 II / Klipsch RF-82 II (x2) / Insignia NS-B2111 (x2) / SVS PC13-Ultra / SVS SB-2000 / Sony MDR-7506 Professional / Audio-Technica ATH-R70x / Sony PS3 & PS4 / DirecTV HR44-500 / DarbeeVision DVP-5000 / Panamax M5400-PM / Elgato HD60Comment

SpoilerMy other big problem with this game is our lack of choice. Everything is scripted to go a certain way based on Druckmans feminist view of things. If we wanted to kill Abbey at the end of the game we should have had that option. Have a pop up appear that simply says kill Abbey or spare Abbey. I mean come on Ellie goes through all she does , kills all of those people, then finally when she's face to face with Joel's killer she has a sudden change of heart. Hogwash.
Spoiler
I don't think they gave that option because I have a feeling if there is a TLOU3 we'll be playing it as Abby and Lev, can't kill her off if shes going to be the lead in the next offering. Probably not the last we'll see of Ellie either and now that she has driven everyone she ever cared about away from her wouldn't be surprised if the next game is playing part as her to find Abby and Lev, playing as Abby and Lev with whatever they've been up to and all of them ultimately linking up and finding the fireflies and a chance for Ellie to sacrifice herself to produce a vaccine.
Who knows if any of that would even be remotely close but just my opinion.Favorite Teams:

Re: The Last of Us Part 2 (PS4)
I just finished the game.
Was that it? Damn.
Neil said he's not going to make any DLC and that sucks. I'm going to need a DLC.
There's a lot of stuff I need to see explained.
SpoilerWhat was up with Issac and the WLF, whatever the **** the scars believed, any remaining fireflies was it really them responding or was that the rattlers? Also playing as Tommy during those 3 days in Seattle.Last edited by zello144; 07-05-2020, 06:23 AM.Comment

Re: The Last of Us Part 2 (PS4)
Honestly Tommy is the one character that plays a MAJOR role in the ENTIRE story that Naughty Dog could really care less about. Like, can we PLEASE have an entire game about his own story??? Like, right at the beginning, his falling out with Joel, his time with the Fireflies and why he left to Jackson, and him going to Seattle on his own searching for Abby.

SpoilerAt the theatre I legit thought Abby shot Tommy in the head and killed him. I was shocked for a bit until later on you see him alive she hit his thigh and now he can't walk so good I think it was his thigh idk did she really shoot his head?Last edited by zello144; 07-06-2020, 05:42 AM.Comment

I don’t think you’ll see anything featuring Joel as the main protagonist again from Naughtydog.
It’s Ellie’s game now.Comment

Re: The Last of Us Part 2 (PS4)
Easily a 10/10 and one of the best games I've ever played. Loved the gameplay, graphics were amazing and the story was incredible. I don't see where all the hatred or political agendas are but maybe I'm missing something.
After reading some of the comments about the bad writing (both here and elsewhere) it seems like people were wanting the story below (stolen from reddit)
SpoilerBad writing would have been part 1 not resulting in any consequences, when TLOU has positioned itself as realism.
Bad writing Eg: Game 2 is Ellie and Joel going across the country again to find (???). Ellie still loves Joel so much because he’s the best dad ever, she doesn’t even care about what happened at the hospital. Even though it’s been several years neither of them have changed at all or made new relationships. Ellie isn’t angry because her life’s purpose was stolen from her and she’s forgiven Joel and we thankfully didn’t have to see any of that happen or see that they drifted apart at all.
Joel and Ellie kill more people together and it’s so bonding. Thankfully, no one comes for Joel after he slaughtered a hospital full of doctors working for a militia group. I guess they just didn’t care!
Ellie finds some notes about some girl called Abby whose dad was shot to death by Joel and how upset she is - whatever, she’s a bitch anyway, and Ellie secretly hopes this Abby is tortured to death because haha, she deserves it. No one’s dad is better than her dad and this proves it - her dad shot brains out for her!
Then nearly at the end of the game, Ellie and Joel are ambushed by 500 bloaters. Joel sacrifices himself and goes down in a blaze of glory, guns blazing. Ellie realises the bloaters were attracted by a woman who led them to Joel. It must be Abby.
The woman has a child companion. This kid appears to be Asian, Ellie has never seen one of those before. Especially in an apocalypse. Ellie tracks them, beats the kid to death and then the woman. She’s such a hero and feels really good about herself now.Last edited by stizz; 07-06-2020, 06:40 AM.Comment

I hope we get an Lost Legacy type game but it's a prequel with Tommy and Joel.

**** edit ****
I finished Sunday afternoon. Man, what an absolute ride. I loved every minute of it and I will absolutely be replaying to soak in all the little details I'm sure I missed. It is every bit as good as the original; a masterfully-crafted work of art, and one of the few video-games that actually makes you feel something. I didn't think they could capture lightning in a bottle twice and they blew me away. I'm in awe.Last edited by alifeincomplete; 07-06-2020, 10:16 PM.The Last of Us is the Citizen Kane of video-games. It has nothing to do with "feminism" and everything to do with the abject futility of revenge. Ellie finally realizes -- all too late, considering she loses Dina and JJ in the process -- that the bloodlust just isn't worth it.The Last of Us is the Citizen Kane of video-games. Re: The Last of Us Part 2 (PS4)
SpoilerTBH in the moment I thought Tommy died twice seperately in the game - the other time of course being in Jackson. I guess it was only a couple gun butts to the head (thought it was more initially), but there was a lot of blood shown from that. Of course there was a lot going on at that moment so I'm not really surprised I missed it.Comment
