Oh, I always thought the same thing as well. Should have mentioned that in my post. Yeah, even if you cleared out everybody and maybe nobody else shows up there, you simply aren't going back the same way you came haha. Good thing they just "glossed over that," I guess.

Re: The Last of Us Part 2 (PS4)
I just beat the game and what a game it was! One of the best if not the best single player game I've ever played. The game play was excellent, the game looked very realistic, the story was good to me though I see why people are mad at it. The voice acting is top notch, the facial expressions/emotions are the best in any video game ever!
My only small gripe is that I wish food would have played a bigger part, they should have included hunting and scavenging for food to survive.
Looking forward to playing through it again on the PS5 when it gets a PS5 patch.Xbox Series X: KILLMUNGERComment

Since I'm playing some RDR 2 again though, I'm feeling what you are regarding that. Re: The Last of Us Part 2 (PS4)
So, one gameplay quip I had with this game (and it may have been with the first one as well, not sure) is that once I'm able to craft and use shivs, I couldn't grab and choke out clickers anymore. I had to use a shiv to kill them using stealth. Even if I was out of shivs, I didn't seem to have an alternate option except beat at them or blow them away (I don't think you could kill them in one shot with a normal arrow).
I don't know why the game cripples you in that way once you build an advantage for yourself. This will especially be troubling if I try and do a second playthrough in Plus mode and I already can shiv people but potentially can't pick up or craft any early on.Samsung PN60F8500 PDP / Anthem MRX 720 / Klipsch RC-62 II / Klipsch RF-82 II (x2) / Insignia NS-B2111 (x2) / SVS PC13-Ultra / SVS SB-2000 / Sony MDR-7506 Professional / Audio-Technica ATH-R70x / Sony PS3 & PS4 / DirecTV HR44-500 / DarbeeVision DVP-5000 / Panamax M5400-PM / Elgato HD60Comment

Re: The Last of Us Part 2 (PS4)
Really disappointed. I'm beginning to wonder if the game will ever end, it's at the point about 4 hours ago ( and no telling how many hours in) where I just really started to not care. It seems to keep dragging on to the point where it's almost ruining and negating the masterpiece that was Last of Us (one of my all time faves).
I have went from last of us masterpiece to enjoying part two to really not caring if the world was hit by a meteor and every character seized to exist. The writers in this did a magnificent job of making everyone in this game forgettable and make this a chore for me to get through. There's a part of me late in the game where I was really hoping any controlled player dieing would end the story abruptly . I think I'd be much happier at this point that there was an end in sight.

(I'm not responding to the above post by the way, this is completely unrelated as I just saw something on YouTube)
I hope that people who hate the story for some specific reasons check out this video. It kind of makes things a little more levelheaded when you think it through. The only problem is his misuse of the word "beloved."
Very spoiler-heavy, so only watch if you've played it through.

Re: The Last of Us Part 2 (PS4)
I am at a certain point near the end(I think). I don’t want to play anymore, very hard to bring myself to finish playing. This is not a knock on the game. I am sure you guys that have finished it know what I mean.

Strangely, I actually didn't know that I was moments away from the end right before where the ending was actually taking place. I'm mostly speaking from an "encounter" sense. I didn't know that was the last time I'd be facing baddies, heh.Samsung PN60F8500 PDP / Anthem MRX 720 / Klipsch RC-62 II / Klipsch RF-82 II (x2) / Insignia NS-B2111 (x2) / SVS PC13-Ultra / SVS SB-2000 / Sony MDR-7506 Professional / Audio-Technica ATH-R70x / Sony PS3 & PS4 / DirecTV HR44-500 / DarbeeVision DVP-5000 / Panamax M5400-PM / Elgato HD60Comment

Re: The Last of Us Part 2 (PS4)
I still haven't put together my full thoughts on why I didn't like this and at this point I'm not sure if I have the energy to do so.
I will quickly say I would have liked them to cut out a 10 hour section of the game. This would have got the game out 12-18 months earlier. It saves Sony 10s of Millions of $ and fixes some of the issues a lot of people had. I don't think the sales would have suffered going from a 25 hour game to a 15 hour one.Retro Redemption - Starting over with a oldschool PowerBone Offense

Re: The Last of Us Part 2 (PS4)
EDIT: I'm actually confusing some of it with a different video, but he does only say "daughter" twice and both are in context of speaking from another person's perspective, like as if he's quoting somebody else who is voicing out.
I stand by what I said in that he means it in a figurative sense only; he knows that Joel and Ellie are not father and daughter, otherwise he would have said this much more often when he heavily discussed their personal relationship.Last edited by Blzer; 07-27-2020, 01:08 PM.Samsung PN60F8500 PDP / Anthem MRX 720 / Klipsch RC-62 II / Klipsch RF-82 II (x2) / Insignia NS-B2111 (x2) / SVS PC13-Ultra / SVS SB-2000 / Sony MDR-7506 Professional / Audio-Technica ATH-R70x / Sony PS3 & PS4 / DirecTV HR44-500 / DarbeeVision DVP-5000 / Panamax M5400-PM / Elgato HD60Comment

Re: The Last of Us Part 2 (PS4)
If somebody made a comment "I hate cereal because it tastes too dry," and then somebody else mentions that cereal tastes really good if you add milk, that person probably should consider adding milk again before reinforcing their own believe of not liking cereal. That example may sound ridiculous, but that's the point: the person isn't seeing it as a whole just yet. They are so very one-sided... not in their opinion, but in their perspective. See the whole thing for what it is, first.
One thing that a lot of people don't know about this series (Pts 1 and 2) is that this has been Neil Druckmann's vision for this story's framework for a long time, and by that I mean a couple of decades. Yes, things have been reworked over and again, but the revenge storyline wasn't just an afterthought. That being said, the reason the first game didn't include this was because there were other frontrunners who believed that revenge wasn't a strong or redeeming enough story bit for the gaming audience, but it might mean something else to somebody if they understood this was not a spontaneous decision for the game to go the route that it did. The first part doesn't exist without the same mind that already had the second part in mind to begin with, for better or worse.Samsung PN60F8500 PDP / Anthem MRX 720 / Klipsch RC-62 II / Klipsch RF-82 II (x2) / Insignia NS-B2111 (x2) / SVS PC13-Ultra / SVS SB-2000 / Sony MDR-7506 Professional / Audio-Technica ATH-R70x / Sony PS3 & PS4 / DirecTV HR44-500 / DarbeeVision DVP-5000 / Panamax M5400-PM / Elgato HD60Comment
