Cool game, and I don't even like 1st person shooters. They usually give me motion sickness. This one doesnt at least so far. I've been playing the single player campaign nonstop and havent even gone online yet.

ok, you have a wireless router, so now you need a wireless access port to put by the xbox. this looks similar to a router, it sends/recieves data to/from the router, and has some ethernet jacks in it. You then plug your xbox into that access point, so it then has wireless access to the router, and through that the outside world.

Does that make sense?

By the way... do any of you guys know how to unlock more of the multiplayer options, like slayer, etc. Do you have to beat the single player campaign first? Man, what is up with this optimatch?! Really wish we could join rooms and stay in one room like in Rainbow 6.

I honestly wasn't meaning to be sarcastic...I can see how it was now, I just wanted to go slowly and make it clear, sorry bout that. I've been dealing with my grandpa lately, his printer wouldn't print, and he didn't realize that there had to be a cable from the computer to the printer...he just had it plugged in...wanted to die right then, so I was kind of in "computer idiot help" mode

I rented it, don't know if I plan to buy it.

Nice things:

- I actually find the story to not be as bad as others say. Although I don't like the MGS2 similarities...both times you are on a ship, both times it's attacked, both times it crashes. Is that the best you could think of Bungie?

-Epic Vehicle Battles - Great fun, especially once you get the scorpion back.

Dialog - Still strong

Still great gameplay to be found.

No-no's:

- Graphics.The covenant look and moved like digitized 3-D sprites, I just don't like how they seem to bleed into the foreground. Many textures are weak.

- AI - It hasn't changed much, it hasn't aged well.

- Sound - 5.1 mix is weaker. Grenades don't have the same oomph, and overall it just isn't blended in very well. And then we got the elites speaking Arnoldese. Beyond cheesy.

- Control - Too slippery. The sensitivity can be moved, but it seems like the driving controls have worsened slightly because they sometimes only move from certain camera angles. Giving MC a super jump lets him evade ghosts much too easily.

- Innovation - Dual Wielding? Everything besides jacking is pretty tame imo.

- XBL - You either like it or hate it. I hate it and won't get into why.

- Weapons - I could see messing with the weapons for multiplay purposes, but not being able to zoom the pistol SP makes it useless against anyone that isn't a grunt, it was great fun picking off the jackels through the holes. The assualt rifle only has burst while another one only has full blast. Ever heard of something called consolidation bungie?? Grenades have little range(isn't master chief a super hero) and a HORRID blast radius.

Too me the game is just a renter and I am glad I did just that. Not bad but nothing special either which was what was promised.

mgoblue, I am still having problems *sigh* was up all last night trying to get that damn thing to work.

I did it as you stated, I have the Linksys wireless bb router connected to my PC in my bedroom, in my living room I have my X-Box live wireless adapter connected to my X-Box.

I put the damn disk in my X-Box that came with my wireless adapter, yet my PC isnt sending any signal to my X-Box or vice versa.

I know my channel is 6, I also know it is a 802.11b

I am stuck........help
