Like he said, a 2080ti is needed for newer games to even have a shot at 4k/60 and they still don't do it consistently. There's no reason to expect inferior cards to do be able to do it even with the benefit of some better optimization.

The GPU is literally for all the visual aspects while the CPU is what's known to be tied to frame rates which is why PS4/Xbox One were meh because of the decade old and obsolete Jaguar CPU and even then, some games were able to hit 60FPS (like Doom Eternal and Rage 2) with that crappy CPU.

This upcoming generation, those issues are simply no more. Even PS5 without overclocking the GPU is still very much capable of hitting Native 4K and 60FPS. The difference in regards to PC is that not a single game is ever optimized for it because how can it be when there's numerous combinations out there and no developer/publisher will ever be able to accomplish that on a PC because to do so would mean that they would have to literally optimize for every single combination. No chance in hell of that happening whatsoever.

Both consoles are more than capable in regards to hitting Native 4K at 60FPS locked and could have HDR as well and still be good to go. That is how powerful and capable both next gen consoles will be. It's NOT on either console whatsoever. The tech is there. The power is there. The specs are there. The developers and publishers have exactly what they need.

To me, excuses is over. A game like RDR 2 is Native 4K at 30FPS on Xbox One X but yet Valhalla can't hit Native 4K at 60FPS with a better CPU, better and stronger GPU, 16GB GDDR6 RAM and an SSD? No freaking way.

Far better and superior tech and yet, a publisher that has 15 studios and more than probably 1500 people working on Valhalla may not be able to hit 60FPS at Native 4K? Come on.

Dude stop with that....Console people always talk about optimization.

Bottom line is that my 2080ti OC and i9 9900k OC to 5.0 along with 64gb of high speed 3200hz ram cannot do last gen AC game at 4k ultra settings at a locked 60fps. Next gen consoles cannot come close to touching my gpu/cpu/ram combination and on a next gen AC Vanhalla game you think they are suppose to hit native 4k 60fps at high to ultra settings? Not happening

Console players need to realize that they will get more 60fps games then ever before but big open world triple A games are not going to be 4k 60fps because in consoles visuals sells not fps.

Go show me a console box in a store that says...Come play at 60fps...It is always about 4k hdr....And NO the devs are not going to lower setttings to medium and high to get 60fps because it compromises their visuals that sell to casuals who are the ones that buy consoles.

Go see a box or advertisement for PC GPU and CPU....They talk about performance and high FPS....

I think you may be in for a rude awakening if you're expecting this gen of consoles to consistently hit 4k/60. Top tier PCs now can't even do that with hardware equivalent to or stronger than what the consoles will release with. I also don't think you realize how much of an impact the GPU has on framerates with the way modern games are made. GPUs play a major role in frame rate and with what the consoles are said to have, I just don't see how they will manage 4k/60 regularly.

With the 3000 series cards coming out this year likely, the consoles will already be a generation behind PCs in the GPU department and they already cannot match top tier CPUs. The consoles will have plenty of power, but 4k/60 is probably not going to be a regular thing for games like Assassins Creed unless they turn down the visual quality. A 2080 ti cannot really get more than 30-35 frames on average on ultra at 4k in Red Dead 2. That same card cant even hit a consistent 60fps at 4k on ultra with AC Odyssey. Why would we expect these consoles to do it with cards that won't be as strong as a 2080 ti nor will their CPUs match the performance of a 9900k?

Oh man interesting time period. This is going to be good.

If you want a bit of a preview on the time period and some of the characters that will be in this game i highly recommend "The Last Kingdom" on netflix, it's a really good series.

Was it with another worker? I don't understand why his personal life would have any impact on his job unless it was also breaking company policy.

Apparently multiple women. Some of them Ubisoft employees too. Really sucks since Ashraf is also kinda the face of the game and is the one who also does the previews and stuff.

You can mostly certainly lose your job if your employer feels as if you violated their code of conduct. You don’t need to do something “criminal” for that too happen.

Now I don’t know what happened here BUT it doesn’t seem to warrant getting fired (cheating) BUT I’d assume that’s there more to the story and Ubisoft is getting ahead of it.

If they were Ubisoft employees, then he probably violated some sort of policy or code of conduct. It's not uncommon for relationships between employees to be forbidden.

It would make sense if it is true some of the women were Ubisoft employees. If none of them were, then the story gets a little strange because his personal life should generally not impact his job.

Either way, he's out and it will be interesting to see how it impacts the franchise moving forward, and if he ever returns under the radar once the story cools down.

He was banging a Twitch streamer for a year while he was married. It is a big MeToo movement going on right now from female Twitch streamers claiming devs, gaming sponsors and fellow big name male Twitch streamers raping female streamers in exchange for making their channel bigger. In this case, he didn't rape her, but she decided to put it out there now this week in the midst of this videogame MeToo movement.

Crazy thing is dude walks around with a wedding ring ON. She saw it several times during the year they were together.

Despite Ismail being gone, I hope he comes back and that Valhalla is one hell of a game because he resurrected the franchise with Origins and while Odyssey was great as well, it built on the foundation that Ismail started with Origins.
