Having a blast playing breakthrough. Never have trouble filling a lobby with 128 players even with cross play turned off. Can’t speak for conquest as I have always found conquest boring. I was always a rush guy, but breakthrough has been a solid replacement. I’ve enjoyed the game in the first week even with the glitches that will get ironed out

while I've been enjoying that one too, it's not perfect either - loads of issues there. Stuttering on my xsx, only optics on the sniper which is impossible to get, cross-platform makes it annoying vs cpu guys who can see apparently through iron sights more than I can on my 65", It's alright, but half the time you can't see anyone which might mimic real life more, but there could be more of a trade-off for a bit more funLiquor in the front, poker in the rear.Comment

Re: Battlefield 2042 - Launching October 2021
I brought this going in being excited that there another shooter. I’m enjoying vanguard and im like ok let go battlefield 2042. I play it and why the hell did they remove team death match. I know some might not care but i was going in that tdm would be a mode for 2042 not a custom mode. If im going to get kill by so many ppl in big maps, give me tdm at least. I’m happy i was able to get my full refund on this game. So disappointed.Comment

Re: Battlefield 2042 - Launching October 2021
Day 1 patch may clean a few things up but I'm not sure it can fix the developmental problem at DICE or the actual game flow/dynamics. At this point the base game is what it is even with bugs/glitches fixed. They are 100% out of touch with their player base and it shows. This is one of the few times I've watched one of those Angry Joe rants and agreed with him.
I was warming up to play some Breakthrough with friends earlier and this garbage happened lol.

Nah, didn't you know? That's what a realistic spawn looks like
But for real, that's pretty bad. Just picked up a copy after being late on the hype train, and have only seen a few minor bugs, but nothing like THAT.
Give it til December time and they're gonna haul butt putting out patches so the game rakes in more sales for Christmas time.Comment

Re: Battlefield 2042 - Launching October 2021
is there are place to see your stats? total kills total deaths, kd/ratio, longest kills, they used to break it down by gun which is there but with more stats than just kills. used ot show accuracy too.
where's all the stats man?!?!?!Liquor in the front, poker in the rear.Comment

I haven't spent much time with the game yet so I'm just feeling my way around but there doesn't seem to be much depth statistically.

Re: Battlefield 2042 - Launching October 2021
I heard that weapon bloom is going to be addressed.
I think the UI will get some customization options to lessen the clutter.
Breakthrough and some of the points need to be addressed, but likely never will.
Vehicle HP needs some rework...no way a hovercraft should have so much health.Originally posted by Gibson88Anyone who asked for an ETA is not being Master of their Domain.

Re: Battlefield 2042 - Launching October 2021
Hovercraft definitely need a nerf.
Bloom is in an awful place now. It needs to be addressed.
I still hate the specialists and have mostly stayed in the Portal because of it. They're a regression for the series, but they're likely going nowhere this game.
I don't mind the lack of the traditional scoreboard. We still get information on kills, revives, assists, how our squad stacks up, our own KDA and ping. It's fine with me how it is.
When playing classic content or 2042 Maps and Modes with BF3 or BC2 factions the game is great. When playing with 2042 specialists the game is not nearly as fun. And the TTK is not great to me, but I'm a HC guy and always will be. That's another reason why I've stayed mainly in the Portal.

Battlefield 2042 - Launching October 2021
It is pretty clear that the people who made this game have never fired a gun before. Or are we supposed to believe that gun technology in the future has somehow regressed and rifling no longer makes rifles accurate?
They need to get this weapon bloom bull**** out of the game.

Re: Battlefield 2042 - Launching October 2021
I much prefer the class system over specialists. Not sure if they would revert back to it but that change would help the game immensely. Also what's killing it for me is the the vehicles you just get bombarded too much from start to finish which sucks the fun out of it. I may stay away from the base game & dabble in Portal for the time being. Overall very disappointed in the base game but I still will give it a chance if changes are made for the better."If you don't have anything good to say, say it often"- Ed the sockComment
