Well one thing for sure is that it has a far superior map than the default one.

I don't know if the default options allow you to auto-turn in quests, but Carbonite does.

It alerts you when someone from the opposing faction is nearby.

Puts mining and herb locations on your map, and includes the best routes for farming them.

Plays a nice alert when you complete your quests, lol.

Has a lot of other options I won't go into but it's worth checking out. Definitely a must have add on for me.
    PS: You guys are great.

honestly, for me, I like the Map it supplies. The ingame map, you cant really move while the map is up, carbonite you can. I also like that it auto tracks quest instead of having to set track quest on the normal map. From a quest standpoint, the benefits are minimal in my opinion.

It does for the most part. Carbonite allows you to zoom down into the map and has areas colored off where certain quest mobs will be. Or if you are looking for a specific item, it might have a note attatched to it saying " item is behind a barrel" etc.

Blizzs current quest helper is quite fine though.

Turning your quests in as soon as theyre complete in Carbonite is huge. Saves a ton of time, wish I would've known about this a long time ago. LOL Took me awhile to customize everything else to my liking though. Overall I'm pleased with it but I still feel that the default quest helper is pretty good in its own right.

For you guys that played beta, was Paladin or Shaman more popular? Debating on rerolling to my paladin if shamans are really overflowing

-First night back, went with the paladin first this time around to try tanking first so hopefully I like tanking in a raid setting. Worst case I just go back to raid healing

Question for those of you with Mages. Are you/Did you level as frost? I'm currently at level 38 and enjoying frost for the most part. But part of me wants to go and try fire for some reason. Any thoughts on why or why I shouldn't go fire for leveling?

Fellows I am totally stuck as to what I need to do???? I have a quest that says I need to go to the wetlands but it is so far away that I can't even find a flightpathe?????

I have a level 31 Drainei Mage that I have started back up but I wonder should I just start from scratch all over????? Remember I have been playing solo so I have been trying to learn on the fly and I have forgotten a lot since I have not played in over 18 months

                  Any advice/rec is greatly appreciated.

You would be so much better to start from ground zero in my opinion. So much has changed, zones have changed, leveling has changed, dungeons have changed, quests have changed, talents have changed etc...

Start over and get a fresh look at the game, you wont regret it. Feel free to roll on any of the servers any one of us is on and Im quite sure any one of us will help you get back on your feet via information, where to go, bags, coin, advice etc etc.

Fire is quite fun, you have dual spec so why not go down both trees? At the end of the day, arcane is pretty much the defacto pve spec due to its insane dps and simplicity and frost is the pvp spec due to all of its control and defense counters.

As much as I hate to do it, I guess I will start from scratch again.

Any recommendations on what I should roll with? What realm are you guys on? I want to jump on a realm with some fellow OS'ers so I can REALLY LEARN how to play this game the right way. Horde or Alliance??? I prefer Alliance but at this point I just want to learn how to play the game right!!!. Can I transfer my 16 slot bags from my level 31 Mage to my new character??

Throw any advice my way PLEASE!!!!!!!!!

You lose your elemental as a pet, thats why I leveled as frost till 80 (wotlk) and changed to arcane. Things could be different as I leveled frost before things really changed

Hit level 40 earlier and got my Turbo Trike. Then I dual spec'd and went with fire. Have yet to try it out in a dungeon. I didn't realize Arcane is the best DPS spec for dungeons. Might have to look into it down the line.

Frost in battlegrounds is just crazy. I'm not a huge PVP'er but in my first BG I had 57 kills and 3 deaths.

Just did a free character move from Thrall to Dentarg. Got tired of going to login every night and be hit with a 30-45 minute wait. Hopefully this server works out better or I'll be on the lookout once again for a decent server.
