After months of only trying Turn 5 one night a week with really no progress, we assembled a super group of sorts consisting of the strongest/most competent members of two different groups to put together a Turn 5 group. Got Allagan Helm and the Sword as drops and I got the Helmet. Really stoked because it was looking like we had hit our ceiling as far as progress went, no one could stay alive past the snakes because of not paying attention during twisters. We got rid of the 3 weak links, replaced them with 3 stronger players from the other coil group, beat it pretty easily.. Tried it sunday, and got it to 3% before it hit rage timer, literally 10 minutes before the maintenance.. If we had more time we would have beat it that night..

Re: Final Fantasy XIV (PS3/PC)
Debating whether to resub to this on PC or just go for the PS4 version and play with a controller. Any thoughts for those who have played both?Comment

Re: Final Fantasy XIV (PS3/PC)
How much is the subscription for the PS4 version? And when are you charged?
I played the beta and really enjoyed, so I am debating if I should get this.
Debate is done. Downloading now. I hope my beta characters carry over.Last edited by LingeringRegime; 04-15-2014, 11:55 AM.Comment

Re: Final Fantasy XIV (PS3/PC)
Should carry over, I haven't been asked for any billing information so first month is a go.
Game runs great, just as well as it did jacked up on my PS4 and after an hour of figuring out how to operate everything with the controller I really enjoyed it. Blasted to Level 10 in one playthrough with an Archer which I had never tried before and am enjoying all of it.Comment

Final Fantasy XIV (PS3/PC)
This game is so addictive. Level 17 already.
Only think I don't like is sometimes its cumbersome getting the map to work right to find all the missions. Now I just teleport until I see the the little arrows and just make my way toward them.Comment

Debating downloading the 14 day trial. Everyone says it's great since the latest patch...
*EDIT* Debate over...downloading now.

Re: Final Fantasy XIV (PS3/PC)
It's a great game Chubby. Easy enough for a casual and an absurd amount of stuff to so do until you catch up on content.. I haven't played for awhile but I always come back on the free login campaigns and play the entire time. Biggest gripe was keeping up with all your abilities once you fill up a hotbar page, so use a keyboard and mouse if you can. The UI is much easier to keep up with with kb/m.Comment

Re: Final Fantasy XIV (PS3/PC)
Downloaded and started the 14 day free trial. I dont have the best internet (satellite) so didnt want to commit the money if it didnt run well but so far so good, the game is starting to sink its hooks in! I have never played an MMO before but the fact you can play a ton by yourself makes it very inviting.
The game world really reminds me a lot of FFXII, which is one of my favorite FF games. I see myself spending a lot of time in this game. I am definitely a noob right now but if anyone wants to add me to play, my PSN is Gizmo_011 (ps4 not sure if that matters.)

Re: Final Fantasy XIV (PS3/PC)
I've been playing about a month and I'm hooked. Already got 130 or so hours into it. Trying to wrap up the main quest through 2.55 and working my item level up (right now i76) . There is just so much to do. Can't wait for Heavensward!
On the PC. NA: LamiaComment

Re: Final Fantasy XIV (PS3/PC)
I've been leveling my Lancer (only at 25 though). Will sub another month and if still enjoying it will pick up Heavensward. I'm on an EU server though.Comment
