      Well today is Day 2 back in the gym. Im doing cardio and hitting the circuit to try to get back in shape before i go free weights and embarass the hell out of myself. I'm trying to go through and read up on this thread because ill admit. Im a newbie to all this. My work out was always playing sports (not professionally) but ive had always stayed in shape that way.

      I'm 5'10ish and 160 pounds (which is actually my highest weigh-in ever, i have Crohn's disease). I want to get jacked, well, at least as much as my frame will allow. I eat terribly for the most part, drink too much soda, and dont exercise anymore. Trying to put a stop to that.

        When doing leg workouts like squats, when should be the best times to do cardio like HIIT? I've heard different things, like don't do it the day before squats, and don't do it the day of. So is it ok to do HIIT the day before and not the day of? How about the day after squats? I'm trying to cut fat and I need to keep doing the HIIT but I don't know when to do it because of the squats.

            Has anybody used Muscle RX as a pre workout supplement? Is it better than NO2?

            I've used NO2 and experienced great results..but I'm all out of it now and wondering if there is better on the market?

                LOL. Swimming is no joke. I just started learning how to swim, going 1-2 times a week to the local Aquatics and Fitness Center near my job, and it's funny how sore I am the next day. I truly feel like I've been in a fight. I can't wait to get up to speed where I can go on my own. It's great exercise.

                    I can't swim....at all. I'm damn near 22 and still can't swim.

                    I even took a swimming class when I was 18, and I STILL can't swim....lol

                    ....and I'm a Pisces....what kind of **** is that?

                        Shoulder press and upright rows. I don't know if you include shrugs in there, but those are the 3 I do most often.

                            Get this... In my HS, we had this Olympic-sized pool in the basement, and it was actually REQUIRED that we take the swim class in order to graduate. But somehow I fell through the cracks, and never had the class assigned to me. I do wish, though, that I had taken advantage of it back then.

                              We were required to do two years of swimming (a quarter each year). The second year a light in the pool went out and they had to drain it or something. We didn't have to do any swimming that year One of my buddies had his 4.0 gpa ruined because he couldn't do a backwards dive. Ended up with a 3.98 or something like that. I guess now according to my brother they don't grade you on how well you do the dive, just completing it.

                                145 Pounds

                                Flat Bench-205
                                Deadlift-315
                                Power Clean-165

                                I plan on incline benching, pressing, and squatting tomorrow.

                                EDIT- I would do snatch but I really dont know how to do it haha. Also I may try maxing on curling an EZ bar but I doubt itll be very high considering I dont normally do isos.
