Re: You know what really grinds my gears?
I have no trees in my yard.
...yet...
My lawn is filled with leaves from my neighbor's trees.Originally posted by Gibson88Anyone who asked for an ETA is not being Master of their Domain.
It's hard though...especially when I got my neighbor playing their franchise across the street...maybe I will occupy myself with Glamore Magazine.Comment

So now this weekend I get to do it again.Comment

Re: You know what really grinds my gears?
I usually get all the leaves in the side yard between my house and my neighbor's since it's mainly my trees that drop the leaves. They've actually asked me not to do that before though since their kids like playing in the leaves.
But yeah, I have a ridiculous number of leaves in my yard. I'll be getting to them this weekend.Comment

Re: You know what really grinds my gears?
I don't have to worry about getting the leaves up in my yard in a timely manner so they don't blow into a neighbors yard. Don't have to worry about neighbors trees dropping leaves in my yard.I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.
I miss the old days of Operation Sports :(

Re: You know what really grinds my gears?
Yeah, having neighbors right next door sounds terrible. People are so damn passive aggressive. You try to build a fence, neighbor gets mad about that. A tree hangs over into another property, neighbor gets mad about that. Doing some yard work, neighbor gets mad about that. Not doing any yard work, neighbor gets mad about that. And anything involving the behavior of pets will turn **** nuclear too.Comment

Re: You know what really grinds my gears?
Everything is becoming subscription based.
I know its been a thing for a while, but imagine the day that even regular cars become subscription based.
I wonder how successful even cheaper cars would be, filled with microtransactions.
Imagine being able to get a brand new car for let's say 15k, but literally all it does is the bare minimum to meet laws (so it can drive, have wipers and so on) and everything from having a fob to open the doors, heat/ac, automatically having windows go up/down, access to your trunk, ability to use speakers (whether it be for radio, Bluetooth connection to phone or anything) all costs a monthly subscription fee per feature.
This doesn't even include the premium features like using the app to lock/unlock/start up car, heated steering wheels/seats, gps, backup camera and so on.Comment

Re: You know what really grinds my gears?
That's how buying cars is now lol. You either pay more for the features you mention or less for the bare bone car.
I'd love if we went to a subscription thing for cars. I'll buy it at bottom price and pay for the things that I want rather than having to pay a larger price for a few things I like that also includes things I don't care about in that price.
That would actually be a huge win for consumers.Last edited by kehlis; 11-23-2022, 10:38 PM.Comment

Re: You know what really grinds my gears?
I don't think cars are ever going to be equipped with all features in the hopes that you'll use them. It's probably more effective to sell you ones you want (and sometimes don't). Putting all that tech into a car and having the owner never pay to use it sounds like a bad business model.
Maybe I'm wrong.

Here's to a "cracked" car, having all the features and paying the minimum I guess :POSHA Inspector for the NBA.Comment

Re: You know what really grinds my gears?
I don't shop online at Walmart often, but I was gonna try doing so this time to avoid the time and black Friday crowd.
Only problem, it won't let me order an item like normal because its considered a grocery item, so it gets categorized as a grocery delivery. Since when is printer paper a grocery item, and how can they not let people just order some items without the grocery restriction?
Unless there's something I'm missing here?

useless nuggets of stats that don't amount to a hill of beans,
like such as, so-and-so qb is the fourth right-handed qb from the state of New York in the last 15 years
to throw an interception in the second quarter and run for a td in the third quarterOSFM23 - Building Better Baseball - OSFM23
