Re: You know what really grinds my gears?
It really annoys me when I'm in an elevator and someone presses a button that already been pressed. Let's say I'm going to the 14th floor and I clicked it. Then someone else comes in, looks at the clearly lit up 14 button, then clicks it anyway.Comment

Females in committed relationships who post scandalous pictures on social sites for attention.
Also females who post about their monthly cycle, like really nobody wants to know that. Keep that ish between you, your spouse and whoever you believe in.Horseshoes & HollyWoodComment

Grammatical errors on actual news reports, interviews and any other type of internet journalism where the writer is making money for their work. It seems to pop up a few times in every article I read these days. Are they really in such a hurry that they skip the whole editing part? Now I have to re-read an entire sentence or phrase multiple times just to figure out what you were trying to say in your poor attempt at being clever. Someone is paying you to write this nonsense, proofread that ****.Alabama Crimson Tide

Those of you annoyed by Firefox's unnecessary design change, DL the "Classic Theme Restorer" and "Classic Toolbar Buttons" extensions. You can get it somewhat similar to how it was before, including changing the location of the tabs.
I can't seem to get my buttons the way they were before, but I got it as close as possible I guess. Wish I had a screenshot of something where I could see how I had my older version laid out.Comment

Re: You know what really grinds my gears?
Yes. This x1000. Another one that gets me is when people/companies use studies to support their product/idea and don't even read the actual study.
One that I just saw was that there's some new fad diet where you combine a couple of different supplements and it works "wonders" for weight loss. What the company doesn't tell you in their ads is that they only empirically tested this diet on 10 people AND that the results were only statistically significant for 3 women.
I worry about the US population sometimes. We need to have more people who are scientifically literate, because just believing what people tell you about a study isn't good enough.Check out my Houston Astros Dynasties:

Re: You know what really grinds my gears?
But isn't it always changing? I don't believe science is ever settled, given the fact that so much of our understanding has changed and continues to change.
We heard for decades about saturated fats being awful and blah blah whatever and then just a few days ago that study came out saying maybe it wasn't as bad as we thought?
