Driving to and from work, especially in the rain, ESPECIALLY on the first big rain after some nice warm hot weather.

I spent about 20 minutes trying to get past this:

    http://www.columbian.com/news/2014/j...e-crash-i-205/

I know it's very selfish of me when there are injuries reported, but come on, we should be better at driving in the rain in Washington state and Oregon. I mean, there are two weathers here. Rainy and not rainy.

Truly one of the more baffling things about life is that nobody up here knows how to drive when it rains. The second there's even a brief sprinkle of rain, it's as if everyone says "Well, there's some water, I better start freaking out".

It's not the agreement that bothers me. It's the manner in which it is expressed. That "riiiiiiiiiiiiight?!" or "IIIIII KNOW riiiiiight?!" is so irritating.

Watching bad gameplay footage of a game you're experienced in playing or compotent at. I was checking out some of the Gamespot videos for the new Dark Souls II DLC and found myself criticizing the gameplay preview

Mountains around Tucson being on fire, which is making it super hazy and smokey, combined with all the sand being blown around and it's unusually humid. Granted, anything over 9% is completely unacceptable to me.

Makes this pretty much an indoor weekend.

                      "Defense wins championships".

I'm just not sure that's always the case anymore and I get tired of people always saying that. It's 2014. You have to play defense in sports, but " if you can't score then you can't win" argument goes both ways.

I take it as defense wins championships... As long as u have a little offense.

Not sure what sport u have in mind but in baseball, a traditionally low scoring sport, a great defense helps u win quite a few 1-0 games. But if u have a bad defense, ur bound to lose several high scoring games. Scoring seven to eight runs a night is useless if ur giving up nine runs on defense.

                          Yet you can't win a 0-0 game.

My point is that defense and offense is important now, even if you have a defense that's scoring as well. I understand your point though and it makes sense.

Well.....you can't always outscore everybody either.....So defense does win championships. I remember the Suns, Mavs, Broncos, and other high powered offenses the past 20 years. use to score a lot every game, worked during the regular season, but come the playoffs, you have to be able to stop people.

If a team can stop you but you can't stop them, then you will lose. Look at the Lakers, Bulls, Celtics, Pistons, Spurs, Ravens, 49ers, Cowboys, Seahawks, hell even the Heat championship teams. They all had great defenses and a good amount of their points came off of turn overs.

The fact that I filled out Student Teaching Applications in February, got finger printed with the local school district at the beginning of May and I still don't have my placement with a school as we near when teachers start again on August 11th. Should have had this done by April/May but nope.
