I used to be incredibly insecure about my weight in elementary school, as I would be made fun of for being overweight. Then I became a bully and started beating kids up who gave me a hard time. Became one of the more feared kids in school. I've since mellowed out a little.

This talk reminds me of Ralphie May and a stand-up I watched a while back.

It's hard though...especially when I got my neighbor playing their franchise across the street...maybe I will occupy myself with Glamore Magazine.Comment

Re: You know what really grinds my gears?
Some gym annoyances
- When you plan out your work out, drive to the gym at a time when you anticipated it being slow. Get warmed up and someone's using the Station, machine you wanted to use... usually no big deal just warm up a little longer or do something else. But as you're waiting them out, you notice they are doing like 10 sets and using absolutely terrible form.
- When people leave a whole bunch of weights on the floor, other day two teenager looking kids left like 6 pairs of dumbbells, and 4 plates scattered around. It's already bad somebody has to clean up after you, but that's a tripping hazard.
- People doing ridiculous exercises that you've never seen before. Saw a guy pick up a moderately heavy dumbbell and just started swinging it with his arm in a circular motion? Like what is that doing for you, other than jeopardizing your rotator cuff health? Also there's this older guy at my gym who who grabs weights and pretends to play sports with them, like he picks up a dumbbell and swings it like a tennis racket then side steps, or dribbles it like a basketball. Looks very strange... if you want to train to get better at a sport why don't you just go play the sport? I never say anything to him though.
- Also a huge one for me is when people spend more time on the gym floor paying attention to their cell phones, than their exercises. Like they do a very poor form set of something like Dumbbell side laterals, or quarter squats on the smith machine then instantly start texting, or checking on their cell phones for like 5 mins between their next set. All The guys that can seriously put up weight don't even use their phones while working out, except sometimes for music.Last edited by Feared; 10-28-2015, 05:35 PM.Minnesota Vikings

Re: You know what really grinds my gears?
My biggest gym annoyance is the guys who do their dumbbell exercises right at the racks so nobody can get weights during their set. And usually it's alternating curls, so it takes forever. And usually what they do is they pick up the weights, and take one step to the left or right so they are blocking the maximum amount of weights possible, instead of blocking the empty slot they just created. If you're doing something like shrugs with heavy weights fine, but you can take your 30 pound dumbbells and find some space to do your sets.Originally posted by Jay BilasThe question isn't whether UConn belongs with the elites, but over the last 20 years, whether the rest of the college basketball elite belongs with UConnComment
