I miss the days I could turn my TV on in the morning and get a full hour of nothing but highlights and scores of every sport.

I honestly don't know if SportsCenter shows game highlights anymore.

I'm being serious. I'll flip to it to see what the left frame is showing, and it's segments surrounding certain games for sure, but it's not really a highlight show anymore.

I am okay with it because there are other shows that I can watch in its place, but it definitely ain't what it used to be.

And heck, on curbs as well. It's not that I can't find them, it's that they're faded and washed away! I swear, they haven't been repainted for as long as I've had my license. You'd think that's one of those city codes that needs to be kept up to date on a decade-long basis or something.

Whenever the talking heads on the news do a quick-take about the latest murder-suicide, they feel the need to tell me what order it happened in. Because I couldn't deduce that on my own. When you tell me there's been a murder-suicide and a man killed his wife (or vice versa) you don't have to elaborate further.

I think to some extent ESPN not showing as many highlights anymore is a result of the Internet, and the fact you can see highlights anytime you want on there. You see the same effect on The Weather Channel, which covers less pure weather than it used to.

Granted, maybe I'd actually watch ESPN's shows again if they did more highlights, but for most people that must not be the case.

Or when they just show "viral" videos of people doing stupid things, completely unrelated to sports. Sports Nation started that ****. I hate that show.

I enjoy or at the very least don't mind these shows but I think it has more to do with the personalities than the actual content at times.

right, and personalities are key, which is why I can laugh at Stephen A going ballistic when Max sets him up.

The key is I don't even watch that show, the highlights of absurdity are provided on Le Batard show usually, and speaking of personalities, who doesn't watch HQ for Papi being silly and bothering Dan and Bomani? lol.

Or PTI with Tony and Wilbon, their chemistry is so good, and they've been around so long there are little nuggets of jokes they toss in that will crack me up, plus for some unknown reason I lose it any time Wilbon calls Tony "Randy Redskin" lol
