I know people have strong opinions on this, but I honestly like KFC. I also like Popeye's, but I think KFC is good as well. When I'm in the mood for fried chicken, I just want fried chicken - in any available form. The extra-crispy/spicy is not bad eating.

In the end, they're basically working 8 months a year, 7.5 hours a day (with 1 hour lunch)
So teachers have it too good? lol, I will try to remember that. The next teacher I see making $100K will be the very first--college professors don't even make that much until they have 10-20 years of experience, earn tenure and make full professor, work at a big-time school, and usually have some sort of endowed professorship (that jacks up the compensation considerably).

Here in the States, teachers are totally underpaid and mostly underappreciated. Even in the best of situations. In the worst of situations (inner cities), it's damn criminal what teachers are asked to do.

The breaks are nice though, when not teaching summer classes and/or coaching and/or doing a host of other stuff you probably don't get paid for.

Kfc feels so bland to me. But I like a little spice to almost anything. I'm saying I wish there were equal amount of Popeyes to KFC.

No, I totally get it. I'm a huge fan of spice as well. This just struck a funny personal chord because I argue about this with people all the time (I feel like I'm the only one that ever defends KFC, yet as you point out, they're all over the place....).

Canadien teachers do appear to be very well paid compared to other countries but it still seems to come with quite some tenure so I think Maj just knows a few of the real lucky ones:

yeah, there's like 20,000 kfc's & less than 3000 popeyes. Theres a kfc a couple miles from my house and the nearest popeyes is about 15 miles away in a neighboring town. but the drive for popeyes is worth it.

In my high school district and with my graduate units & masters degree, I would be making $100k six years from now.

Then again, the median home value here is $1.6 million, so it's all disproportionate. I'll have moved long before then to somewhere much more affordable, over to an area and school district where I would max out just below $80k after 22 years.

It's all rough. Teachers do not have it well in the U.S. from a financial standpoint, on a relative scale at least.

Ya, probably are the lucky ones. Not that they aren't hardworking or anything, but just in general, seems like being a school teacher here doesn't get the kind of bad rep in regards to pay compared to other places.

Pretty sure that's a typo and he means "Teachers do not..."

The typo being where it is changes the meaning completely.
