Re: You know what really grinds my gears?

I cant stand where college basketball has evolved into. It's bad basketball and these one-and-dones are killing it. I feel there is no point in investing time in my team if the player will bolt after one year...not to mention NCAA and their dumb restriction rules.

I sorely wish the NBA would do something like MLB does. Go to the pros straight out of HS if drafted or choose and go to college and wait three years. Either you have the talent to make it immediately or you can go to school and work on polishing your game. That seems to be the best of both worlds. It's not forced as the market dictates the player's value.

In any event, I'm just not drawn to watching it much anymore like time's past.

It's hard though...especially when I got my neighbor playing their franchise across the street...maybe I will occupy myself with Glamore Magazine.

so long as there's not a lot of butter on it, buttons aren't bad for you.

I haven't seen any in grocery stores, but the past couple of years there's been a noticeable increase in the amount of people who bring their dogs shopping with them. Mostly it's places like Lowes, but I've come across some dogs in Wal-Mart, too (which I guess is technically a grocery store).

We have a dog and love her like a child, but there are some places dogs just simply do not belong.

Some people can't afford to keep their dog in the car, either because of heat or theft. Heaven forbid if something happened to it while you had to make a quick stop somewhere before going home, like forgetting the milk.

When I picture doing something like bringing the little pup I watch into a store (which I haven't), I could hypothetically even keep her unleashed and all she would do is follow me. She wouldn't get distracted or deviate at all. She's just a docile little thing, though. Some other dogs, yeah I get it.

I really don't want to be dodging people when I go to stores - much less animals.

Had to grab something from WalMart a few days ago, dude had a small terrier on a leash with him walking around the produce section while he bought things.

I'd still rather animals than kids running around.

Animals at least have an excuse. Kids SHOULD know better, but their parents couldnt care less at times.

Kids are the same as the animals. They only know what's been taught to them.

They do what you teach them or what you allow.

It’s not an aggression thing, it’s more of a sanitary thing. I don’t want our dog in the kitchen, let some other people’s dogs around good.

like a car, to begin with. unless you're carrying your dog to the vet or a dog park, does he really need to be away from home? if you're not able to leave your pet at your house while your out running errands, then you probably dont need to have a pet, or get a goldfish. I'm probably in the uncommon opinion here but its like some people should not have children, so should some people not have pets. just because you can do a thing, doesn't mean you should. major pet peeve/gear grinder of mine, personally. sorry, but its how I feel.

I don't know if I agree. For me, it's not about not being able to leave them at home. They stay at home for 10 hours during a work day just fine.

They just really like to ride in the car.

If I'm running down to the gas station for a three minute stop, I'll let them hop in the car if they want to.

But dogs are on a leash, kids running amok and doing whatever they want is one of the most annoying things anywhere.

I actually have the legal right to take my dog inside stores if I want, I've never done it, I don't want the attention, plus I don't really NEED him for comfort in a store. I do, however, occasionally take him to my local walmart, and leave him in the car. It's a unique situation though because the store is less than a mile away, they have a huge open field adjacent to the store, and I like to escape my building with him sometimes and let him roam the grass for a bit, do his business, put him back in the car for a few minutes while I grab a couple quick items and zoom back out and take him home
