The only rule I'm aware of is not after 8pm. Anything other than that I've never seen or heard of!

Guess I'm telling on myself, but I know for a fact they can't sell before 6:00am But too paranoid to use the Jackpocket thingy.

My rule is I only buy a single ticket if the jackpot goes over 1B or close to it

Once it goes over 500m I buy 2 numbers a week! Anything less than I don't feel like I can "retire" with, which is kinda of crazy of me [emoji23]

Probably have talked about it before, but here it goes again: DUI's.

I don't know why, but DUI's (Driving Under the Influence) get my blood boiling.

You talk to me about murder, I say "that's horrible".

You talk to me about a DUI and I feel my pressure going up. I start going all Al Pacino in GFII:

            Spoiler

I guess is how irresponsible it is, how selfish it is. Gets me mad just typing about it

Not that there was ever an excuse, but in the last 10 years or so, with the rise of rideshare, there is absolutely no excuse. Don't tell me that Uber is too expensive when you just spent enough at a bar or wherever to get yourself in that condition.

there's a reason the term "liquid courage" exists, people think they're good to go when they're not, it may help you with anxiety, it may help you socially, and then you get behind the wheel when you shouldn't because your confidence is so elevated it's like "nah I got this, I focus better this way"

It's very difficult to convince people high on liquid courage that they shouldn't drive, and even more difficult for them to convince themselves, that's why planning BEFORE you got out is so important, you can't make that call yourself in the spot

Not sure why I forgot to add it to my post, but yes, a big part of what gets me mad is the low penalties for DUI's, sometimes even for vehicular manslaughter.

Sickening how many times one has to read / watch in the news about so and so killed this person and the culpable party had 3 previous DUI's or something. 3 PREVIOUS DUI's WTF!?

I'll tell you, I'm for legalization of many stuff (cannabis, frankly all drugs, sex work, gambling, you name it), but I have no time for irresponsible behavior.

No ones makes you do anything, you do something, you are responsible. Just because something is legal it doesn't mean you get to go about it in a way that harms other; you wanna drive 150MPH on your private road and go through the windshield and die, go ahead, be my guest; but you do it to yourself only.

I would get tough on DUI's, it might not dissuade everyone, it doesn't mean it would never happen ever again, but after I'm done with it, you drink and drive and you are gonna pay.

Back to the grocery store but

Things put in the "clearence" end cap, aisle, section whatever that have no price tag and don't scan up as discounted. People can randomly put stuff there, sure, but I hate having to go up to a clerk and ask about the price of a box of cereal.

I've gotten to the point where I say on the front end "I grabbed this from the clearance spot, just wanna make sure it rings up right", 9/10 it does, but when it doesn't they usually just give me the sale anyway

the thing that sucks is when it doesn't ring up, I'm like man, I hope they don't think I'm the scammer, and they have to use a manual calculator to figure the price discount AND have the manager come verify

Yeah. Most of the time it isn't worth it. Happens a lot with grocery items since stores have gone away from in store scanners and put them on their apps.

Back in the days when Brickseek was new and Walmart shared their inventory I'd find all sorts of stuff. I remember one time where I found the Razer keyboard I'm using now for like 11$ down from 70ish.

Man im about to unfriend someone from my social media because their obsession over Cionel Perez on the Orioles is a little too much. They attack anyone who criticizes his play, takes pictures off their television to post on IG and even had someone else take a pic of THEIR tv to send to her....so she could post it on IG. I get supporting players and what not but this is downright stalkerish.

I have an older woman on my feed who does something similar but with Can Yaman, who I had never heard of. Apparently, he is a Turkish actor, and she has fallen deeply in love with him and wants everyone to know how amazing he is.

Half of me wants to unfollow her and not see the cringe, but the other half wants to see the mental meltdown to its end.
