A buddy of mine who owned a fast food place told me there’s no profit margins on sauces which is why their so sting with it.

A powerlifter is most definitely an athlete.
Joe from South Philly, who works out 4x a week for 32 minutes at a time, and 27 minutes of that is getting his tripod in the perfect spot for a quick video... yeah, probably not.

Re: You know what really grinds my gears?
Double standards in society.
When I was in my early twenties, I went through a phase where I was getting to know women that were sometimes twice my age but I didn't realize it until the next day when we would be talking. This happened more times than I will indulge here. I played in several bands, for what it's worth. That was the attractant, I still believe.
Fast forward, I am now approaching the age those women were, or close to it, as I'm 38. I couldn't, for the life of me, go for someone that young, and most guys don't because it would be frowned upon by many. Yet when women do it, we almost applaud them and even coin them as cougars. Eh. That just sits wrong with me now and grinds several gears all at once.
That said, the younger version of myself had no complaints back then, although I don't allow myself to ever reminisce back to that era as it isn't healthy for relationship psych/chemistry.Comment

Re: You know what really grinds my gears?
Probably a stretch to say this grinds my gears since it isn't technically mandatory, but man is it funny or maybe just ironic.
I work in corporate finance for a large company. Our world has a very set crunch time that happens at the beginning of every month, and you can calculate what days those will be a year from now and 10 years from now. We have had a few different CFO's over the last several years, and every time they schedule these finance town hall meetings (months in advance) it is during these periods that are the busiest time for finance.Comment

It doesn't surprise me. The last time I got pizza at Marco's they wanted like 75 cents a sauce or something like that. I know it makes me cheap but man I got ranch at homeComment

That female AI voice that people are putting on their shorts to narrate their captions.
I can read just fine, thanks.

Re: You know what really grinds my gears?
I loathe people that ride with their high beams on at night with traffic clearly approaching. They don't care to dim their lights to normal at all. This is their world and we're just NPCs along the way.
I suppose this gear-grinding has developed since my TBI, as bright lights have an effect on my eyes that they never did before due to my senses being exponentially increased more often than not. I'd compare it to the double-edged sword metaphor, but instead I'm gripping both sides of the blade with all my strength. Hard to explain. My thoughts are deeper and more intuitive than I have ever experienced in life thus far.Comment

I live in the south as well. Folks sometimes need to consider the ramifications of the saying, "Fool Around, Find Out," edited for reasons of forum rules, of course.Comment
