I spent about 5 minutes winding through my unplowed neighborhood, jumped on the interstate and put it in park. 1 hour later I got off on my exit and then spent about 10-15 minutes winding through some local roads until I got to the office building. I never got above 25 MPH the entire 25-30 miles to work.

I think the ride home is going to be even worse.
I'm almost the same, even if I do call off for weather, I'm still going to be working 8-9 hours from home anyway. Sometimes I'd almost rather be at work based on the BS'ing that goes on around me about everyone being late or how bad the weather is. I'll actually end up working less

Yeah that's true. I went to college in Erie so I know how the snow gets up there. Hopefully the snow will subside by the time it gets down here.

Off topic but I wanted to know if anyone else is experiencing this, whenever I click on Page 4 of this thread it takes me back to the previous page I was on, it just wont load page 4 without quickly going back to the previous page. This happened in another thread as well in the Pro Football forum I believe, is anyone else seeing this at all?

Something like that has been happening to me recently but not in this thread, all over this site. Sometimes I click on a thread then I go back a page.

About 52 degrees around here, little sunny, a nice breeze coming in through my open window.

The best part about snow while at college...

Walking to class is incredibly entertaining, seeing people slip and fall. Granted, I know that now that I have said this, I'll fall next time I go outside, but I really don't care.

Two days ago, I saw a person trying to get up a hill that had about two inches of snow and an inch of ice on it. It was hilarious. He would walk a foot, slip and slide back down, rinse and repeat.

What takes me normally less than 10 minutes to get to the expressway, today it took me about 20 minutes due to the local streets not being plowed. I work 40 miles one away (yeah I'm dumb for that one), I figured that it wasn't worth it once I hit the traffic.

That sucks that your boss isn't understanding, I've had some of those in the past.

Good luck getting home and be careful.

Same here, my last job even though I wasn't at work due to weather there was work to do. Right now, being at this job for only 2 months, they still haven't gotten me a laptop yet (using a desktop at work).....not too much that I can do at home, since all my software is at work on that desktop. That should be changing in a few weeks.

                  The BS'ing is fun though.........

Yeah, I love watching people slip an fall. The other day the sidewalks were covered in ice, and I was watching some guy trying to slide down the sidewalk and he eventually slipped and face-planted into the ground.

I remmember when it snowed in 2003, they predicted 3-5 inches of snow and we still had to go to school. Considering that I live in Nashville, that is very odd. They said that school can't be closed for the whole day just because of a prediction of snow. Guess what: We got almost a foot of snow and they let out school over an hour after we had started. I didn't get home till 3 PM. It was absurd. Worst snow day ever.

It's 49 degrees here in Nashville with a wind chill of 43. Also the winds are howling at 20 MPH, gusting up to 30 MPH.

Haha yea and then they get up and look around to make sure no one saw them, only to see you laughing at them.

Agreed, we have one at Quicken Loans and one in another area by my house. But for some reason, the original on in Erie just kills the other Quaker Steaks.

To get this back about snow, I'd drive through this snow to get wings

We were also hit with a lot of snow on Saturday if you missed out... maybe due to some extreme gaming?

I didn't go to work today as I didn't put my snow tires on yet and still have to shovel the damn snow off my driveway. Keep looking out the window in hope it will just disappear.
