    Re: OS Off Topic

Nice! On my wedding there were 280 people and it's considered here like 3/5-3/4 of the average amout of people. I just don't get it, how can you invite 500 people (or even 800)????! Who knows so many people? Why do I need so many people in my wedding? Actually my wife and I wanted to have the ceremony at the Rabbinate insted of a wedding hall. This way we could invite only the closest family and that's all. I don't care even if there were 10 people, that's enough for me. My parets didn't care and said we can do whatever we want, but my wife's parents wanted a real wedding. As for the people I invited, there were about 10, only 2 came. But it was OK, a lot of 60's-70's music

I'd ask the same thing to you with your 280 people. That's just insane in my book.

I do know what you mean about the wedding sizes being huge over there. When my Aunt got married two years ago, her wedding was close to 1,000 people. That just blew my mind.

Here's the math: I have a small family, so my parents invited 70 people - including all of their freinds. My wife has a large family, there were about 200 people from her side. Plus 10 people from her work...altogether 280. I do think it's insane because I've always said that I'd like a wedding with 30-40 people, just like in the movies, but it wasn't possible.
Does your aunt live in Israel?

It makes sense, I'm just like you, I'd rather have a small wedding.

Yes. I think I mentioned I have family in Jerusalem in another thread. Grandfather, Grandmother, and two Aunts that live there. They've been there for 15-20 years. Although I'm not sure if both my Aunts still live in Jerusalem, I know they are there somewhere.

Great! Good luck, and just don't end up like me - hating the place...

Yeah. One of these years I'll actually make it over there. My Grandfather has been trying to get me to come over for many years, but I've never done it. Be a good experience I'm sure.

I despise powerwashing the sidewalk. It was hot and my neck is now sunburned. It takes forever and the progress is very slow since some of the dirt just doesn't want to come off it seems. Then my back hurt because I was hunched over trying to get the dirt off. It was quite a lovely experience.

Oh well, I am finished now!

I went to go look at a new car today. Well, not a new new car, but a new one for me. I've really just started looking so I don't have much of an idea where I'm gonna go with my money. There's a couple different Ford Focuses that I was looking at. There's also a pretty nice Nissan Altima, and a very nice Toyota Corolla but that might be out of my price range.

Anybody have any good websites where I could search for cars?

My grandparents went to Israel last year and loved it. They stayed in Tel Aviv the first night and then toured the country on a tour bus. It was like a Christian tour so they went to Bethlehem, Jerusalem, the Dead Sea, ect... I hope to go over there sometime as well.
