Re: OS Off Topic
Bite me.
Not much of one to be honest with you...
Basically it involves my best friend who has come up in subjects before...I pretty much put her above everyone else and did anything I could for her whenever she needed it...took her to her soccer game 40 minutes away because her car broke down, picked her up from her friends' house when she was in a bad mood, walked her back to her hotel at senior week at 3 AM even though it was 20 blocks away just so nothing bad would happen, called out and stopped my friends from taking advantage of her when she was drunk, you name it, I've done it. I basically just got sick of hearing "I'm hanging out with this guy", "I'm hanging out with this guy", "I really like this guy". Like, STFU, seriously. What the hell do I have to do around here to not get pushed to the damn side again?
Just because she is a girl it doesn't mean you have to be EXTRA nice to her. Treat her like you would any other friend. Even with my very best friends who I hang out with almost everyday...there is no way I would drive 40 minutes because their car doesn't work.
I think she is overlooking you because you kind of allowing her to walk all over you. There is a fine line between being a dick and having reasonable expectations of what a friend should do.
Plus, look at it this way. At the end of the day, she is a dumb high school girl. She really isn't at a point in her life where she is going to make good decisions. It sounds like you've been a good guy, but if you bend over backwards for anybody (male or female) they will walk all over you.
You are going to college in a couple of months and you are going to meet so many girls it isn't even funny. Plus, they are going to be incredibly horny and incredibly drunk most of the time. Trust me, college is so much better than high school. Especially for nice guys like us.Comment

Re: OS Off Topic
I'm going to a wedding this weekend, which is going to be kind of awkward. First off, this is the first of my friends to get married (he is 2 years older, so 22). Second off, I moved out of the town about 14 years ago, so I haven't seen any of them in at least 10 years (I used to visit back there).Comment

I myself can be a "nice guy" sometimes. But take my advice:

I've given up on this girl though...she'd rather go for a stalker or mass murderer. Like I've said before, "Just A Friend" by Mario is the story of my life.Comment

Re: OS Off Topic
So today I finished reading Paul Auster's "Mr. Vertigo", and I already went to the library and took his "The Brooklyn Follies". That's the 5th sraight book by Auster that I read. I'm gonna read all his books one after another. And in 4-5 years I'm gonna start all over - but this time I'll read the English edition (you've probably guessed that I read the Hebrew edition now).My Specs:

Re: OS Off Topic
After seven years of going without an electric guitar when an ex absconded with it and refused to return it to me I finally broke down and bought one online yesterday I'm hoping it gets here before the holiday. I'll go acoustic until it gets arrives and play the NCAA 09 demo some more.Comment
