I’ve had coworkers be surprised when I say we used to have snow quite often around Christmas in Ohio and they respond that they’ve only seen snow around Christmas once in their lives.

Right now, as it has been since late October it’s just been cold and wet. Until then it was warm, like weirdly warm for this part of the world. Some days in October were above 20 degrees.
White Christmases are barely a thing in real life. Only in malls and 100% of Hallmark movies.

It usually might snow heavy late November-early December, melt, be bare for Christmas, then start snowing in the new year.

February usually has a storm, and all that snow stays on the ground until March when it finally melts. Watching ST baseball in March while theres still snow on the grounds here, its tradition.

Its snowing more now than I think its snowed here all December combined! Can we fastforward to March?

gonna be a weird night, it started with temps in the 50s, totally odd for January, but nice

so that led to dense fog, then heavy rain, next up as the temps fall will be an ice storm, then snow

So what's the weather like where you live?

Everyone getting the weirdly unseasonal weather huh? Upper 50’s, highs of mid 60s this weekend, and a bit more mild all week. Then back to seasonal temps starting next weekend (30s or so), with a classic wintry mix on tap.

I feel like it rarely just snows anymore around here. It’s always rain before or after. I just want a nice thick fluffy blanket of snow. Don’t think we’ve had a good one since we had a foot dumped on us in January 2016, and I wasn’t even home for it [emoji20]

Last 2-3 years the meteorologists have been way overshooting accumulation amounts too. It’s weird because I’ll look at the hourly forecast on my weather app and see a small window of snow, but the alert and predicted amounts will be excessively high. I love snow so it sucks to hear we’re due for a decent snowfall only to check the details and realize there’s no way it’ll be as much as they say. Gimme the truth damn it!

This a long bad winter storm that has killed 4 people so far with tornado's in the south and freezing rain and high winds all over.

We've had gust of over 50mph in the Milwaukee area and Lake Michigan looks like a ocean form either coast with the waves rumbling in. There is usually ice on Lake Michigan, but not this year, could be beach erosion.

They are telling us to stay off all roads

Another weird thing is we're dealing with snow, ice, and flooding, all at the same time.

It doesn't seem like snow, ice, and flooding could coexist at the same time, but somehow it's happening

You know you live in Maine when you go outside and it's 25 degrees and you think , hey it's nice out.....

Must be first weekend of baseball.

Weather has been nice this weekend. Feeling almost like mid-late March. Too bad most of this week once again feels like late winter.

Now is the time of the year I start to like.

Time changes next weekend. It'll get dark after 7pm over here. And slowly the temps are starting to be above freezing mark. Almost time to start breaking out baseball cap.
