Funny story about Dog Fish Head. My buddy bought a case of 90 min IPA at the local distributor here but put the case upside down. He paid for it, walked out, and then realized it was close to $10 dollars cheaper than expected. He got home, gave me one, and started laughing. The lady thought he was buying 60 minute because the 90 was upside down..
    Genius!

        Best Beer I ever had:

Its a beer made with Jalapenos, I tasted it at a local Brew fest and bought 2 cases. Coincidentally it has the worse bottle art ever.

The local brewpub in town infuses a beer with jalepenos every year. I tried it once and thought it was the worst beer I've ever had in my life. It tasted like crap and I didn't like the bite in a beer.

I usually like spicy things too, so I was surprised at how much I didn't like it. Maybe it's because I usually like to wash down spicy food with a beer and those two things in one package just didn't do it for me.

What kind of taste does that one have, Cuse?

USMC Fiscal Year close-out has been a bain, and to unwind I've been finding myself pouring a beer everynight into a frosty mug. I don't know what it says about my pallette for some of the more afluent beer aficionado's here, but Dos XX Ambar Lager is officially my favorite beer ever. I love this beer. I have one or two during dinner and it's great w/ food, or I just drink w/o eating anything and still great. Nothing like drinking it out of a frosty mug too.

I'm going to say this in the nicest possible way I can:

                You're drinking swill, my friend.

I hate getting dragged to chain restaurants and all they have are like Corona, Bud, Coors, and Miller. Woo.

Yeah, it sucks but the fact of the matter is that the average American has a terrible palate for both food and beverages so they feel the need to cater to these folks with no knowledge and/or taste.

I'll never deny the fact that I am indeed a snob when it comes to the food and beverage I consume. The way I see it is that you only live once so why settle for second (or in the case of Dos Equis, 2,000th) best?

2nd place? Well I guess it just depends on who's drinking what eh? I've had plenty of different beers, but for whatever reason Dos Equis is the one that goes down the smoothest.

Nothing wrong with a Dos Equis. It's just so damn refreshing.

Port Brewing Old Viscosity... *** ****, that's a beer and a half. Split one with a friend and had it with some Mexican chocolate baklava I made... great pairing. Black as death and 10% ABV but really smooth and drinkable. Try it out if you like a stout... not sure what style it was officially, seemed somewhere between a stout and porter.

Also had Dogfish's brown ale, which I hadn't tried before. My new favorite brown ale -- they're not normally my thing, but the little dry-hopping they did made it really nice to my palate.

Picked up some beers for football tomorrow that I'm looking forward to trying. Got Boulevard mix pack (including an Octoberfest), Sam Adams Cream Stout, Schlafly Raspberry and Schlafly Octoberfest. Also got a Wells Banana Bread beer all to myself.
